Picking up directly from the cliffhanger ending of Harley Quinn: The Animated Series, Harley and Ivy are on the run after narrowly escaping Ivy's ill-fated wedding to Kite Man. But who is chasing them, and where will this Thelma-and-Louise journey end? It all starts here!
Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are on the hot wheel style race track that used to be the streets of Gotham City. They are being chased by Commissioner Gordan and the Gotham Police Department, all the while Harley explains the past events that got the pair into their current mess.
Poison Ivy uses her plant powers to give Harley and her an escape route, which gives the couple a moment to take a breath. This moment of calm give Ivy some time to think about and regret her pass decisions. Harley realizes something is wrong but can't figure out how to help her love.
Back at Harley's latest hideout, the abandon Gotham Mall, the pair seems happy, but then they see Tawny Young's broadcast from the failed Ivy & Kite Man wedding the pair ran out of, and this makes Ivy depressed again. Harley finds Ivy crying in the bathroom and attempts to cheer her up. This leads to the pair to make love.
Afterward, Ivy convinces Harley that Gordan would be looking for them and her hideout is not safe. Harley agrees and proposes they go to the other villains' hideouts who were at the wedding. They were all captured by Batman so their places would be empty. Ivy relucently agrees and the pair plan a road trip.
