This issue came with a copy of Hero Illustrated.
Hardcase gets a call from Chuck Brown, a detective from the LAPD, and informs him of an extortionist that is planting bombs all over Los Angeles. The man is calling himself Mister Destructo, which causes the police department to believe that he is an ultra, which prompted them to call Hardcase to begin with. Hardcase is able to use his super abilities to find Mister Destructo, but Mr. Destructo informs him that he planted a bomb in a very populated event that very night. Hardcase deduces that the bomb was planted at a Johnny Domino concert and Hardcase saves the day, just in time.
