Random question: During Civil War (issue 5 or 6), Pym was taking pills while talking to Maria Hill. What were they for? I know he was a skrull at the time and Hulkling replaced him during the story at one point, but did they ever say what the pills were for?

Probably a writer wanting to say "Hey, look, Pym's still a CRAZY LOSER!"

@Gambit1024: Some writers really want to insist he is and just base the characterisation entirely on him hitting Wasp that time. for example bendis kept referring to him as "the wasp's loser ex-husband" in his Mighty avengers issues or Mark millar's Ultimates version where he was pretty much just defined by that.

@X35: When impersonators impersonate someone they have to research their life so the skrull probably researched Pym's life and was like "Wow the writers are really trying to mess this dudes life up this stuff is depressing" and now here we are..............

They didn't say it was antidepressants in the Civil War books, so if they did, it had to have been in a tie-in. That actually makes sense, too. Pym's been depressed for a long time. That mental breakdown he had after Ultron was where it started. Disassembled probably didn't help either. Skrulls probably would've wanted to keep on the "depressed Pym" charade, so they had the one who replaced him to keep up the meds.

@X35: Maybe it was Viagra, the little blue pills. Let's not forget that this Skrull bang Tigra and got her pregnant, maybe he needed some help!

Well, at least we know that this Skrull wasn't gay.
