A Quality Comics Triple-Hero Collection: Gwandanaland Comics #316 -- Three Complete Series': Neon The Unknown (Hit Comics) -- Stormy Foster (Hit Comics ) - Death Patrol (Military Comics)

458 PAGES - SUPERHEROES

NEON THE UNKNOWN – After nearly dying of thirst and desert heat, a strange glowing pool gives Tom Corbet amazing “neonic” powers: the ability to fly, to discharge energy, to glow and to fight with super-human strength. As NEON THE UNKNOWN he fights against Nazis and other evil-doers of the world. One of the most colorful characters of the Golden Age, NEON THE UNKNOWN appeared in the first 17 issues of Hit Comics (1940-1941) – and only Gwandanaland Comics brings you his complete adventures!

NEON THE UNKNOWN is available as a stand-alone collection - Gwandanaland Comics #157

STORMY FOSTER – “As war clouds warn America of its gravest peril, a dynamic figure bursts into the headlines out of real life.... STORMY FOSTER, and obscure drug clerk, becomes THE GREAT DEFENDER, surging forth to crush the forces of treachery which scheme to destroy the freedom of our people....."

When he took his special vitamin, STORMY FOSTER for a time gained the power of ten men, which he used to battle the forces of evil and Anti-Americanism! His stories in Hit Comics are a testament to the patriotism of the day and still exciting comic reading today!

STORMY FOSTER is available as a stand-alone collection - Gwandanaland Comics #1067

DEATH PATROL – “A thrilling tale of five convicts and one, Del van Dyne, former airlines pilot. Thrown together by fate, they fly to England and fight for the R.A.F! Acting independently they become a foreign legion of the air: the DEATH PATROL, most daring of all British warbirds!

Each time they have embarked on an assignment, one of them meets with death! New recruits are constantly needed for replacements!”

NOTE: The Death Patrol series is missing one page of a story. Additionally, several stories are taken from low-resolution michrofiche; this series will be upgraded when possible, but the reader should aware of its weaknesses.

Many superheroes began as members of the traditional justice system – as did Rick Raleigh, assistant district attorney. Like many in “the system,” he was dissatisfied, and so he decided to take on an alter ego – THE RED BEE. His power is the ability to control bees, including his pet bee “Michael” whom he kept in his belt pouch. One of the most creative Golden Age heroes, RED BEE ran through the first 24 issues of HIT COMICS – and Gwandanaland Comics has the first complete collection of his stories!

PLUS --- THE SCARLET SEAL!
