    NEW RELEASE ----

An L.B. COLE TREASURY: Volume 1 (1943-1947) -- Gwandanaland Comics #2174 -- The Largest Collection of L.B. Cole ever printed!

    354 Pages

L.B COLE (Leonard Brandt Cole, 1918-1995) is best know for his bold covers with bright covers, often against a black background, with which be burst onto the comic scene in the early 1940s – but of course his interiors are just as worthy of admiration. Cole was a key part of the Golden Age of comics, and worked steadily in the industry through the early 1960s. Some original work in later decades, and the resurgence of interest in the Golden Age artists, brought a renewed appreciation for his unique style and vision. Cole had no limitations of genre, producing exceptional work in such varied comics as superheroes, horror, adventure, science-fiction and funny animal. This book (gathered and edited by Gwandanaland reader Bart Bush, a friend of Cole's from back “in the day”) is the largest collection in L.B. Cole under one cover ever printed – with more to come!!

Please Note: This cover was used with the original Facebook solicitation, but was changed the same day to the cover shown in the sidebar. As can be seen at left, this original cover displayed the top title as two lines of text, and was missing an end parenthesis. No copies were ever sold with this cover.
