Lala Palooza: Volume 1 & 2: Gwandanaland Comics #1973/1974 --- The Classic Rube Goldberg Creation as it Appeared in Feature Funnies/Feature Comics
LALA PALOOZA was a Rube Goldberg creation – the genius of the incredible machines – and she was a durable, if not terribly bright rich gal. Her adventures and comic situations began with the first issue of Feature Funnies (October 1937) and she was in every issue right up to the last (Feature Comics #144, May 1950) – an impressive run for a newspaper strip that never really gained traction and is largely unknown today except as the namesake of rock concerts and other “--Paloozas.” Lala was wealthy and always in search of both fun and meaning in life, and surrounded by an eclectic cast of supporting, if not always supportive, characters. Gwandanaland Comics is bringing the largest collection of Rube Goldberg's Lala Palooza to print, ever!
NOTE: Page quality is mixed at best. Many pages come from low-resolution microfiche or extremely dark scans. We have worked hard to make them as attractive and readable as possible, but the scarcity of these issues means we often have to make do with what is available. We are constantly on the hunt for better pages and update when we do! This is not yet a complete collection, with a page missing from Feature Comics #27 – if you have this issue, please contact us for great rewards!
This issue collects issues #1973 & #1974 into one book. The publisher considers its combined number as its issue number, and also considers it part of this volume.
