The Complete Captain Future: Volume 1: Gwandanaland Comics #1268 --- The Amazing Stories Of The Gamma-Infrared Superhero Of The Golden Age -- This Book: From Startling Comics #1-17

224 PAGES

In a time populated by powerful heroes, CAPTAIN FUTURE can more than hold his own. He was created when an experiment to combine infrared and gamma ray exploded; instead of being killed, Andrew Bryant found himself able to fly, shoot energy bolts, enjoy super-strength, and could hear radio and television broadcasts with his mind. Assisted by his girlfriend Detective Grace Adams, CAPTAIN FUTURE battled against evil during the early days of the Golden Age of Comics.

This book contains his stories from the first 17 issues of STARTLING COMICS. These stories (and the earliest covers) were illustrated by Kin Platt (1911-2003), an accomplished writer as well as long-time comic artist. Platt's career, which included Edgar Awards for mystery writing, covered parts of six decades!

This is a trade paperback collecting Captain Future stories from Startling Comics #1-17.

Please Note: In September, 2018, upon discovering that not as many of the Pines issues were in the public domain as they believed, the publisher immediately and voluntarily pulled this book from their catalog.
