The word "Guyver" refers to a specific being - the fusion of a human or (theoretically) a Zoaform with an alien bio-booster symbiote. The symbiote is commonly called a "Guyver unit" or "Unit-G".
The original Japanese concept and material is all great! The American movie is so bad it's hilarious, however I think it should be remade by either us or Japan!
Man I love Guyver for I saw the OVA, the new series, both American movies, and the animated movie. I even check out the Guyver websites I suggest you guys heck it out too they are really cool.
Yeah I am a Guyver fan. I have both movies and all of the anime episodes on VHS and DVD. Here a little trivia for you the guy that plays the guyver in the secound movie is the guy that dose the voice for Solid Snake.

I thought Genesis was better than the original Anime personally, Aptom was and is my zoanoid (Neo-Zxtole close second) and he was awesome in the Genesis series.
Yeah the movies did screw up some stuff but that is what you get with a small budget it has its fault but it is in the name of entertainment so it all good to me. Aptom is awesome as hell he is one of the baddest Zoanoids out there though I hope they manage to continue the series itself and bring us the continuation that we all need for the genesis anime. Maybe se the reporter become a zoalord and Aptom becoming a partial good guy like in the manga or so I have heard from what I can piece together from the bits and pieces of information i had gathered.
The time is drawing near as a new team is about to be born the Guyver Corps for soon things will become clear as a new race of warriors will stand up against the darkness that is Chronos.....

I'm a huge Guyver fan I have both movies on VHS and have both anime series on DVD, I love the remake anime series, although I really wish they would have announced a complete collection for it before I bought all the individual volume, it would have saved me both money as well as space in my DVD collection.
