The Aube have struggled to remain neutral, but now the Earth Alliance threatens to destroy Aube’s Onogoro Island. In a desperate bid to avert the disaster, Kira and Athrun abandon their former allegiances with the Zaft and Earth Alliance armies and join forces with the Aube. At the same time, Kira encounters Zaft Army Commander Rau Le Creuset, who reveals a stunning secret about Kira’s past.
Meanwhile, the Zaft and the Earth Alliance face off. When the Earth Alliance threatens to launch nukes, the Zaft army is forced to unleash its secret weapon, Genesis.
