The name was later used for the team Star-Lord formed to deal with galactic-level threats in present day. The present day team's name was influenced by a member of the 31st century team who had time traveled to the present.

    So, anyone else worried that if Duggan's infinity stone-event isn't a success... We're looking at the very real possibility that there won't be another GOTG-related comic coming for years.

    It's obvious that Marvel will create a book for GOTG vol.3 but i have my doubts on its quality and comics accuracy -none of the marvel's comic-tie in books for the movies have so far been worth the cover price.
