    This is the favor

After a pretty fun and horror filled first story arc to this series, this second one was a little flatter and a little less engaging.  The story had its strong parts at times, but inherently what was went wrong here is what goes wrong at some many other places in the Grimm Fairy Tales stories (that is when things do go wrong).  Instead of focusing on the character's story it instead gets dragged into the usual tie-in material to Myst and the Dark One and all the rest of that.  That doesn't make this that bad of a story, it is still well driven with some strong female leads.  Samantha Darren is especially coming into her own as a character here.  It is jut more that the story felt clunky at times, with action scenes sandwiching an origin story.  It could have been worse, but as usual the frustrating thing is that it could have been a lot better.
