For centuries man has lived under the impression that these stories were all fantasies and fairy tales. But the time has come when they will be proven true and powerful immortals will walk among normal men again... and look to take their rightful place as rulers.     Grimm Fairy Tales 2012 Annual #1 - 2012 Annual by razzatazz on August 27, 2012

    Ever since Venus was introduced in the pages of Grimm Fairy Tales, this seems to be the way that the series is headed with more of a focus on ancient gods.  I was initially pretty skeptical of the concept, I have found that this often doesn't work that well in the modern setting as the ancient gods served a role.  that is not really the case here though as the creators seem aware of this limitation and are finding a way to work around it.  That having been said, there is not a whole lot to this ...
