With the ability to overcome great fear and harness the power of will, test-pilot Hal Jordan was chosen to be the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 inheriting the ring of the dying alien Green Lantern, Abin Sur. He later on went to creating his own power ring from his own will power. Through sheer will power and determination, Hal has established an impressive record of heroism across the galaxy with the help of his fellow Green Lanterns as well as his peers in the Justice League.
Guy Gardner started out as the backup Green Lantern for Hal Jordan. He has since become one of the most prominent Green Lanterns of the Corps, despite possessing an egocentric personality. He has recently deserted his Green Power Ring in favor of the Red Ring of rage. Guy's will and rage are some of the most impressive in the entire Emotional Spectrum.
Once considered the greatest Green Lantern in any sector, Sinestro came to believe that the only way to ensure order in the universe was through the reign of fear, a crime for which the Guardians banished him to Qward. There he created the first yellow power ring and later on founded his own corps, The Sinestro Corps. He has clashed frequently with his former student and protege; Hal Jordan. The relationship between the two is a complicated one, a mixture of both hatred and respect in equal measures.
Formerly an architect, social activist, and U.S. Marine sniper, John Stewart was selected by the Guardians of the Universe to be one of the Green Lanterns for Sector 2814. His distinguished service in the Corps has resulted in a place among the Oan Honor Guard and the position of chief trainer for new Lantern recruits.
Kilowog is the Green Lantern of Space Sector 674. He is also the Green Lantern Corps drill sergeant.
Once a Guardian of the Universe, Ganthet was exiled from Oa along with Sayd, a fellow Oan. They went on to found the Blue Lantern Corps, the heralds of Hope. Ganthet inducted himself into the Green Lantern Corps to aid in the fight for the Blackest Night.
Carol used to be a pilot, but, after her father retired, she gave it up to run the family business (Ferris Air, a company in Coast City that makes aircraft). She hired her childhood friend, Hal Jordan, as a test pilot. Soon after Hal became a Green Lantern, Carol found herself possessed by a Star Sapphire gem. The gem gave her power, but also altered her personality when used. After the formation of the Star Sapphire Corps however, Carol has been able to remain herself and act as a hero.

Deceased Green Lantern of Space Sector 3212 from the planet Ydoc. Vandor was chosen to be a Green Lantern after leading a slave revolt on his home world. He died after being assimilated into the Third Army.
One of Hal Jordan's oldest foes, Black Hand has evolved from a gimmicky criminal into a sadistic madman capable of siphoning lifeforce from his victims. Reanimated after his suicide, he is now an avatar of the Black Lantern.
Isamot Kol is the Green Lantern of Space Sector 2682
Green Lantern Space Sector 1253. Mardin became a Lantern and a sheriff after her husband was killed in action. She has repeatedly requested support from the Oan Honor Guard to help in the fight against the criminals of her sector.
Originally thought to be chosen by chance, Ganthet chose Kyle Rayner because he had the ability to harness the powers of the emotional spectrum. Once the Torchbearer of the Green Lantern Corps, Kyle graduated to the role Ganthet had intended for him: the White Lantern. After the White Ring is separated into seven rings, Kyle returns to being a Green Lantern Corpsman.
The Green Lantern of Sector 904, Brik comes from the planet Dryad and, like her sector partner, is composed entirely of organic rock. Originally recruited by Hal Jordan, Brik was one of hundreds of veteran Green Lanterns to return to active service during the 2005 restoration of the Green Lantern Corps.
Iroque is the leader of the Indigo Tribe of compassion.
Simon Baz is an officer of the Green Lantern Corp's Space Sector 2814 and was a member of Steve Trevor’s Justice League of America. He received the fused power ring of Hal Jordan and Thaal Sinestro after their power rings presumed them both dead during the events of Rise of the Third Army.
One of the five survivors of the massacre in Sector 666 and founder of the Red Lantern Corps, Atrocitus anointed the Red Lantern in blood and harnessed the power of rage and red light.
Deceased Green Lantern of Space Sector 1414. One of the first Alpha Lanterns.
Yrra Cynril is the sole survivor of the planet Xanshi. Her planet's destruction was caused by a Green Lantern (John Stewart), which led her to embark on a violent quest for revenge against the entire Green Lanterns Corps. She fought Green Lantern Kyle Rayner many times. For a long while she was a member of the Star Sapphire Corps, during which she became friendly to the Green Lanterns. Recently, their influence on her has waned and she has resumed her old grudges.
A member of the Sinestro Corps and archrival to the Green Lantern, Kilowog. He is one of Sinestro's greatest allies and servants for he will slaughter any Green Lanterns (or anyone else) that gets in the way of the Sinestro Corps' plans.
Given power by the Guardians of the Universe, the mysterious First Lantern was locked away and guarded by another group of the Guardians' species, after his powers were determined to be too great and dangerous. The Guardians used his powers to help create the Third Army.
Green Lantern of Space Sector 571; Warden of the Oan Sciencells.
Honored Green Lantern of Space Sector 2261; a living, sentient planet and the guiding force behind power rings' tracking system and selection process. Mogo is currently the mobile headquarters of the Green Lantern Corp.
Saint Walker is the first recruit to the Blue Lantern Corps, as well as its most recognizable. He was vital in freeing Hal Jordan from the influence of the Red Lantern ring, and one of the New Guardians after the Blackest Night.
The ageless thief, Larfleeze is billions of years old and the first being to tap into the unrivaled power of Avarice and is the keeper of the Orange Lantern Corps, because he is too greedy to share his rings he has kept this power to himself making him a one man lantern corp. More recently, Larfleeze has become the biological power battery for the Orange light. Larfleeze has clashed with Atrocitus, multiple Lantern corps, Krona, Volthoom and even Gods.
Kreaven is a bird-like member of the Indigo Tribe.
A Xudarian and former Green Lantern of Space Sector 2813. He is Hal Jordan's mentor in pre-Crisis continuity.
