Remember how the Iron Man 2 turned out be( the game ) , just look at the quicklook at giantbomb, really terrible:P . But perhaps this will be good , have to see some gameplay 1st before we judge it . But if it's a movie tie in game , then we know it won't be good at all, sadly:P

Another rubbish movie tie in game

I don't like the idea of a game based on a film based on a comic, if they incorporate a new story it could be good. I think it's sad that DC had to wait for a Green Lantern film to be in production to have a game made that is solely based on that one character, because it would actually be really cool to play as him, so I think they should have done this sooner. A Green Lantern Corps game would've been awesome, but instead they're making some movie adaptation, whatever, I'll keep an open mind.

So it's indirectly a movie game.
Which means it has nothing to do with the movie.
So it's either gonna be Iron Man bad, or Wolverine Epic.

Well, Spider-man 2 The Video Game was great. Not all movie tie-in games are terrible. And they're announcing it now, so we're finding out about it a year in advance. So they have a good 9 months of development time. A lot can go wrong in that time, but they just announced it. Who knows how long they've been working on it, what development tools they're using to make it. Do we know who's developing it?

Batman Arkham Asylum was a movie game."

I am getting this game no matter what. Been waiting for green lantern's popularity for too long even if there is going to be some stuff going to suck I am still going to enjoy every bit of green lantern. Man hunters rising and to able to  free roam in space sounds epic for now for me bring on the green light. I usually most movie tie ins even they suck or not so.

Exciting exciting, I read on Newsarama that John's Mentioned a Suicide Squad game.  How absolutely amazing that would be.  In a style like Metal Gear Solid Peace walker/ portable ops (lots of small piece meal missions, that can be accomplished a number of ways by a number of playable characters) or even like small style RTS of Commandos. 
 
Success DC Success.  Ps lets hope Johns has good taste in video games and doesn't settle for just standard fair brawlers/shooters.  

Kinda wish it would be like an action RPG were you create your own Lantern

I've thought about a GL game before, but the thing I always wonder is that the GL's power is limited by imagination. So are we going to be able to make giant green fists or drop green anvils on villains?? Because that's what I want, ha.

Batman Arkham Asylum was a movie game. There was an interview with Geoff Johns who says its pretty much the same kind of game. Meaning its not directly related to the movie, but the concept is close. "

Sadly, the chances that this game will be any good are minuscule.

1. This isn't Rocksteady, it's Double Helix, best know for... huh... the G.I. Joe movie tie-in... Yeah.

2. Imagine how many constructs a Lantern can make. Now imagine how many will find their way into a video game. Unless they go Scribblenauts to the power of a million exploding suns, all you'll get is a guy in a green suit with a dozen attacks at best, not a Green Lantern.

Sorry, but between the horrible pedigree of the developers and the borderline impossible task of doing justice to the powers of the rings, I wouldn't expect anything even remotely as good as Arkham Asylum.

AA2 is still your best bet in 2011 for a great comic-book video game. Mr Freeze, Talia, Two-Face, the Joker (Hamill's final hurrah), probably Black Mask and Paul Dini back on writing duties? Sold!
