When DC first put out a solicit for Green Lantern Corps #46, the image was a black "Top Secret" cover. All we had was the synopsis:
This morning, DC's The Source has revealed the cover.Blackest Night comes to its epic and stunning conclusion in this over-sized issue as the Green Lantern Corps descends on Earth to make their final stand against Nekron and the Black Lanterns!
"Black Ice." I'm surprised I'm saying this but, poor Guy. First he goes RED after Kyle Rayner dies. We can see that he's back to his normal self above but now he's going to have to face a Black Lantern Ice. What is Guy's breaking point? He's never been the most stable Green Lantern and I have a feeling this won't go too well. As far as the cover goes, it's a pretty sweet image courtesy of Patrick Gleason.
Blackest Night #7 lands in stores today. GL Corps #46 on March 10 and Blackest Night #8 on March 31. The end is near. How do you think all the characters will be left afterwards? Sure we have Brightest Day just around the corner but there's bound to be some emotional scars. With some of the emotion that we've seen written throughout the story, I would imagine they're going to need time to recover. And what about all the resurrected Black Lanterns? We've seen that Aquaman Brightest Day image. With all the darkness we've seen, can there really be hope for the deceased characters? If they do come back, will it cheapen their deaths?
