    Alpha Holocaust!

Story: We have finally reached the conclusion of Revolt of the Alpha Lanterns. This issue starts off where we left off last issue. Everyone is afraid that Boodikka is going to die. Her mind is back but her body does not change back to normal. John helps Boodikka by performing surgery with his ring. Back at the sector house Alpha, Ganthet saves one of the Alpha Lanterns and her mind returns back to normal. Cyborg Superman wants him to save more but the ground starts to tremble. Outside, Kyle, John, Sora, and Hannu are charging after the sector with the army of robots from planet Grenda. Cyborg Superman sends all of his Alpha Lanterns after them and the war begins. Sora searches for Ganthet and takes him outside to fight side by side. Everyone aims their attack on Cyborg Superman and he uses his ghost form to travel into the mind of Boodikka. Boodikka fights him in her mind and kills him once and for all. The battle is over and the Alpha Lanterns have come back to their normal minds but their bodies remain the same.
Writing: I thought that this was a good conclusion. The action was great, but I feel like they could have done so much more with this story. Technically speaking there was no revolt.
Characters: I thought it was very interesting to use Boodikka as the main focus of this issue because she really isn't that well known. Although I don't think this was the right issue to use her with the inner monologue. I think it should have been Ganthet.
Dialogue: It was pretty cool in this issue.

    Art: Very good.
Cover: The cover is misleading. It should not have been Ganthet versus Cyborg Superman. It should have been Boodikka versus Cyborg Superman. Ganthet fought him in one panel.
Penciling: The character penciling is great, but when they did the scene with Cyborg Superman using his mind control on the robots and he formed a giant hand with them it was very lazy. It was a cool drawing but under detailed.
Coloring: The coloring is good but sometimes it was kind of boring.

    My favorite scene!
It was definitely when Boodikka killed Cyborg Superman in her head.

Reasons to and not to pick up.
Reasons to pick up: This was a good conclusion. This issue was action packed. And this is also a great issue to see Boodikka in action.
Reasons not to pick up:There were some issues with the art and this story felt rushed. They could have done more with is but they didn't.
Verdict: Pick it up. 4 out of 5.

Okay, I can honestly say I was not impressed with this issue.  'Revolt of the Alpha Lanterns' was wrapped up way too quickly.  There was easily one more issue of story left to tell.  I think the only saving grace was that part of the issue was told from Boodikka's perspective.  'Revolt' is clearly a tale trying to mix the action of the Green Lantern Corps with the philosophy of transhumanism.  Don't get me wrong.  The first issues of this story arc were great, but I expected more from the ending...

This is the final issue of the Revolt of the Alpha Lanterns story arc, and after doing a decent job of building to it for 4 issues, this one kind of fizzles.  On the surface it is not that bad, just the combination of all the little parts sort of detract from the combined effort.  I appreciate the presence of Soranik here as always but she is almost ignored.  The other Lanterns don't receive particularly good treatment either, resorting to a drawn out battle sequence.  The real weakness though h...
