    "They Broke the Bar!"

The Epilogue to Blackest Night finds all members of the Corps rebuilding after the devastation that reigned on Oa.

    What You Need To Know

Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleeson's run as creative team on Green Lantern Corps ends with this issue. Kyle died, but came back due to the love he shared with Natu.  Kilowog lost numerous recruits during the attack on Oa.  Guy was a Red Lantern.  Mogo engulfed the Black Lanterns attacking Oa.

    The Good

Peter Tomasi ends his run on top of his game.  He concludes some issues and opens new ones for the next creative team.
Patrick Gleeson delivers some very strong panels.
Kyle and Guy's character interaction, both with themselves and with the other members of the Corps
Kilowog has a nice scene that is short but effective.
    Mogo.
Arisia doesn't let anyone forget about Sadam Yat.

    The Bad

Besides the fact that the amazing creative team is leaving?
Patrick Gleeson doesn't have his strongest issue, felt a little rushed on some panels, but others were really good.

The Whole Isamot + Vath scene

I didn't think that scene needed to be in there.  I won't say what happens, but it felt a little awkward.  Although I'm sure it will lead to an interesting development.  I just really didn't care this time,

    The Verdict.

For the most part it was a well-paced story that added new developments, while closing some others.  This series is one that spotlights the Corps and not just Kyle and Guy, which is what it did for a while during Blackest Night, so it's nice to see where everyone is at.  It's fairly new reader friendly, as it closes out the Blackest Night, while setting up future events.  If you only followed Blackest Night then you should be fine, if you've followed GLC then you're more than fine.

      Completely Satisfying 0

This issue was simply amazing.  After all the action of Blackest Night, it was nice to just settle down and get acquainted with the characters again.  This is what an epilogue should be.  It shows the aftermath of Blackest Night on Oa and in the Corps instead of hopping on to the next story arc.  The character interaction was terrific with characters picking each other up from their bootstraps and pushing them forward being the main focus.  And that's what it should be.  Blackest Night is war st...

      A perfect outlet 0

In comparison to the Green Lantern series epilogue to Blackest Night, this issue provides a much stronger sense of completion.  Part of what makes this so effective is seeing all of the regularly featured Lanterns here and in their true element, even Iolande, who is often overlooked gets a nice moment here.  Most of the action focuses on Kyle and Guy, especially so as they confront the Guardians (in fact this leads to an unexpected moment, though one which was completely in context.)   The most ...
