    Moar Red Lanterns. 2

Well we all knew Geoff Johns was going to make Guy Gardner a Red Lantern at some point. We saw it advertised by DC a month or two on their website… This is the issue which sets that up. We don't actually see Guy become one… But we see the personal pain that's required for a Red Lantern's rage and we also find out where the ring he will wear comes from. So that was kind of cool. I'm really interested to see what Guy will be like as a Red Lantern and if he'll be that way for a while… This iss...

    Blackening a Green reputation. 0

Holy Crapola!!! Lets just start with that! I mean this issue is intense. It balances action and emotional tension excellently both through its excellent writing and splendid illustration.  In the previous issue we saw several Lanterns deal with the ressurection of their teachers, loved ones and families and this issue deals with the climax of these individual miniture struggles and acculminates in a massive, off the scale, p!ss off brawl between Black and Green! So the Black lanterns have invade...

Peter J. Tomasi was born to write GLC! 0

Another great issue as the Green Lanter Corps Continue to fight the Black lantern Corps and as things seem hopeless Indigo-2 arrives to save the day but the Black lanterns stop attacking the GLC in order to attack another target the Central Battery Core. This is just a great story wonderful writing and great moments make for on heck of a comic and yes there is a death and it was written beatifully. And the art is just amazing the attention to detail is just simply amazing. In my opion if you ar...

Fall of the Green Lantern Corps 1

Where to begin?  Oh, yeah, Spoiler Warning.  With that out of the way, I guess I'll start with the art, and how it is MUCH better then the art in the last issue.  As far as the story, well, things are heating up.  Just as the the GLC start to push the Black Lanterns back, the undead baddies suddenly turn around and become hellbent on destroying the central power battery.  They fail.  But they do kill Kyle Rayner.  Ouch.  On a side note, I was mildly disappointed that Kyle wasn't a little more......

Do you think you could scare me with a puppet? 0

This story arc within the story arc (Hungry Heart) was really quite exceptional.  The first part was Soranik's chance to shine and here the spotlight falls on Kyle and he does not disappoint.  The fact that some much awesome characterizations are on display here in such a busy issue with so many battles going on also speak well to the complexities which the writer has written into this issue, the story arc and indeed the story as a whole.  That having been said the action is fairly basic here, w...
