"I have power baldy!"
The New Guardians
Following Blackest Night we enter Brightest Day.
The Good
As Always, Geoff Johns delivers a strong issue that makes you want to come back for more.
We see the major Corps represented well throughout, although some have brief appearances.
There's a new character who apparently is the person who wrote the Green Lantern Oath.
Agent Orange and Lex Luthor.
The Ending definitely sparks interest into just what is going to happen with key players.
The Bad
This issue cuts basically to everywhere. Some transitions aren't as smooth as others.
Some parts the art feels either very rushed or just not on par with what we're used to seeing from Doug Mahnke.
The Mysterious Guy in the Beginning.
I said this earlier, but there seems to be a new character introduced. He is apparently the original writer of the Lantern Oath. He is in the Lost Sector so this seems like it's going to play an important part later on. I'm interested in figuring out where this is going.
Overall
It's a solid issue. Very new reader friendly. There might be some confusing parts to the new readers, but that's what Comic Vine is for. The ending opens new doors and even more questions, so if you're into the Green Lantern books this definitely you're book to get. The ending is BANANAS!
