    The Sky is Falling

With the close of Blackest Night in the Green Lantern title, it certainly delivers, as it has throughout it's pretty amazing run.  Geoff Johns is at top form, as he has been throughout writing a brilliant script and Doug Mahnke has some pretty amazing art to showcase thanks to that.  Some pretty cool action involving John Stewart is showcased, even though Hal get's the Green Lantern Bubble.  But for the most part, as seen by the cover, this is Sinestro's issue.

    The Good  (ish)
    Sinestro
I was actually quite a fan of Sinestro becoming the White Lantern, sorry if that's a spoiler but I mean it's on the cover.  It's an really an epic concept because even though some would call it cliche, tell me honestly that you wouldn't have been mad if Hal became the first official White Lantern.  This is Sinestro's issue, and as he tells Nekron in the beginning, he has no idea the power Sinestro possesses.  That's all I'll say.

    The Bad
Honestly? The Colgate Max Fresh ad saluting 75 years of the Hero getting the Girl.  I know this has nothing to do with the comic, but it was literally in EVERY DC book this week, at least have more than 1.
But seriously there wasn't much I DIDN'T like.  I guess some people will be mad about the whole Earth is Center of the Universe bid, but I mean, come on.  All the main heroes of the universe live there.  Were we expecting anything else?

    The Left Out
I understand that this is Green Lantern's Book.  Hal and John all the way because they're the GL's of the sector.  But I mean, come on, where's Kyle and Guy?  John showed up in GLC and I know for most of the story they were on Oa, but they're on earth.  Kilowag is present in this issue.  Also Black Hand kind of has been cast aside, I don't know, I mean I thought he was going to be the ultimate enemy and he really hasn't been a threat since Blackest Night #4.  I guess this would constitute as the Bad part, but maybe I'm just nit-picky.

This issue is essential for those who have been following Blackest Night through the Green Lantern title.  If you don't have it get it.  w00t

Building on the lead from Blackest Night #7, this issue is exactly where the story arc needed to go.  Even with Sinestro in charge of the power of the the white light, the momentum is still in the hands of the Black Lanterns as they mount a final assault on all life.  The real fun here though is not the resolution of this battle, but rather the resolution of the threat posed by Xanshi.  A strike team of Lanterns head off for the planet trying to find a way to stop it, otherwise all life on Earth...

Propaganda of the Nearly Religious Variety 0

Sinestro = The White Lantern. We learn history of the universe beginning on Earth. We get to see all of the emotional entities. Sinestro gets momentarily chopped in half. This comic just kind of comes off as christian propaganda (I could really expand on this, but I’ll leave it as is).  You have all of the demigods of the White Lantern entity with the emotional spectrum entities.  Basically, only the first three that were revealed are anywhere near original.  Ion, Parallax, and the White Lanter...
