"A big, shiny light named Sinestro." 2

What you need to know: Green Lantern #52 is the end of Blackest Night in the franchise's flagship title. As with last week's Green Lantern Corps issue readers should expect the storylines to wrap up or tie together as we head to next week's super-sized finale issue. The Good: - Doug Mahnke. Blackest Night has really been a showcase for artists. Mahnke took over the GL series, and he's been fantastic. His cover is stellar, the character design is consistent, his splash pages are stunning, and his ...

This was a great issue what can I say about the art and the colors that I have not all ready said in my other reviews, Mahnke is probably one of the best artist to work on the green lantern series. In this issue we get to dive further into the green lantern mythos. The only problems that I have with this issue first is I don't like the word bubble it is funny and all but I don't like it when there are words on covers, second is that the issue is every where it moves form one scene to another it ...

    The Sky is Falling 2

With the close of Blackest Night in the Green Lantern title, it certainly delivers, as it has throughout it's pretty amazing run.  Geoff Johns is at top form, as he has been throughout writing a brilliant script and Doug Mahnke has some pretty amazing art to showcase thanks to that.  Some pretty cool action involving John Stewart is showcased, even though Hal get's the Green Lantern Bubble.  But for the most part, as seen by the cover, this is Sinestro's issue.   The Good  (ish)SinestroI was act...

I understand that obviously Geoff Johns and Co are bringing in new things but i just feel as if the green lantern and blackest night issues are completely on the same things: all the lanterns flying in the universe to stop nekron etc. Why does this have to go on for 10 or 15 issues ? I feel it is very repeated yet the art is fanastic and writing great as usual. 4.5/5...

Propaganda of the Nearly Religious Variety 0

Sinestro = The White Lantern. We learn history of the universe beginning on Earth. We get to see all of the emotional entities. Sinestro gets momentarily chopped in half. This comic just kind of comes off as christian propaganda (I could really expand on this, but I’ll leave it as is).  You have all of the demigods of the White Lantern entity with the emotional spectrum entities.  Basically, only the first three that were revealed are anywhere near original.  Ion, Parallax, and the White Lanter...

    No replacement 0

Building on the lead from Blackest Night #7, this issue is exactly where the story arc needed to go.  Even with Sinestro in charge of the power of the the white light, the momentum is still in the hands of the Black Lanterns as they mount a final assault on all life.  The real fun here though is not the resolution of this battle, but rather the resolution of the threat posed by Xanshi.  A strike team of Lanterns head off for the planet trying to find a way to stop it, otherwise all life on Earth...
