I'm crying this time
This is what I would call the first real Geoff Johns written Green Lantern issue thus far in the reboot. Though responsible for the previous three the title as a whole has been a little weak since the end of Blackest Night. This though is the first Green Lantern issue in the recent past which elicited a response from me that it was like the old times. As usual with Johns he does it not with strong characters or original scenarios but rather with a combination of the two. Particularly evident here is Hal's heroic nature, flawed in a sense that he wants to make Carol happy but that he can't. The real fun here is with Sinestro though, first standing up to his Corps, then having to deal with captives from him home planet. With a simple plan hatched by Hal an attempt at escape is planned, but the the last page provided quite an ending.
