I wasn't really planning on picking this up to be quite honest with you, mainly because aside from the animated series i've never been interested in Mongul as a villain, i do like him, but considering that for some time now i'v heard people call him a Joke in comparison to what he was, i decided that i didn't really want to read this, and to be honest the villain issues haven't been all that impressive to me so forgive me if i was skeptical about this. Mongul Introduced into n52 0

This review contains spoilers to the issue and even older comics from the 1990s! Be warned!Before the new 52 reboot, Mongul was, simply put, one of the most sinister and powerful villains that existed in the DCU - just to give you a brief idea, Mongul had destroyed Coast City, sending it into oblivion which was the spark that led to Hal Jordan becoming Parallax and going on a killing spree back in the 90's.Whilst I haven't especially missed Mongul since the reboot, I whole-heartedly welcome him ...

This review will contain spoilers so look out for that if you plan on reading this one. So I'm reading all the villain month issues and reviewing them to give the new reader perspective. The only time I've read Mongul was "For the Man who has everything" which was very good. But Mongul was hardly the best part of that story so we'll see if he's up to par or above here.
