I like green arrow, I know a lot people don't like green arrow namely my best friends Ziggy and Mikey (and also Babs). I would like to know the reason why people don't like him. And also if you like him tell me why you like him
Green Arrow
Character » Green Arrow appears in 4302 issues.
Oliver Queen was a spoiled, thrill-seeking playboy, until he was left stranded on a deserted island for several years. There, he trained to become a master archer in order to survive. After his return home, he used his new-found skills and his wealth to became the costumed vigilante known as Green Arrow.
Does anyone like green arrow?
" @Emperor Gonzo Noir said:" I like old Green arrow not recent Ollie, he's become kind of a dick "understatement "
massive @sshole then,
"He gets lots of hate but I like Ollie. His wife is fiiine ;) "
Hitting on comic book characters? My how the mighty have fallen. ;-)
Ollie's awesome! I first discovered the character thanks to Kevin Smith's "Quiver", and I've been hooked ever since. His voice and demeanor always crack me up, and he's not afraid to handle things with some necessary violence. Green Arrow was also a favorite on the "Justice League" cartoons...good stuff!
"i want to like him but i don't know what are good series. any one have any suggestions on what stories i should track down? "
the Green Arrow and Black Canary TPB. It's called for better or worse i think, I own it and it's damn good.
also the Green Arrow/Green Lantern cross-overs are great
follow the links for details.
I love the Green Arrow, he is hilarious.

I love Green Arrow and couldn't be more excited about JT. Krul's run on the relaunched title, Johns is story supervisor and he is already comparing it to Mike Grell's run
oh and just because its probably the best Green Arrow image ever:
I am a GA fan because Ollie is a guy who wants to find real answers to social problems, and not just address them as needed. In many ways I see him as the humanizing factor in the JLA. Ollie is a great hero and human being. He is strong and self-sufficient, but not self-centered, with a sense of true social justice. He is one of the toughest and bravest heroes, willing to put himself in harm’s way to help his partners (he let Deathstroke beat the crap out of him to give others time to take him down in Identity Crisis, sacrificed himself for Dinah and the JLA during Final crisis, and temporarily overcame the influence of the black ring to help save Dinah and his kids in Blackest night). Ollie is never given the credit he deserves, but he also doesn't really care. He has learned from the mistakes of his youth and is a much better man and father today than he was a few years ago. He's a very human and yet still idealized figure, one that we can look up to he stands for a swath of values across the entire spectrum. As for his undesirable qualities, i.e. the cheating, and lying, that just goes to show one thing. That he is a human being that makes mistakes. Of course we could fault him for that, but all-in-all I don’t think that it is fair for him to be criticized for making human mistakes, being as that is what he is and all. Despite him always being made out to be this bad guy, he is always willing to help someone in need. He understands that true world and the ideal world are not the same things and that some concessions must be made, much to the chagrin of those who do not want to acknowledge that fact. Because he can make the decisions other cannot, he is thought of as a bad guy, as opposed to a great leader, which is what he really is.
" @N7_Normandy: you do know they're separated now, right "Didn't know. I gues I should of assumed since Dinah is in gotham and Ollie's in Star City
Some of the better GA stories..Green Arrow: Quiver and Green Arrow: The Archers Quest. In my opinion Sounds of Violence was too over the top.
1) He's a baseline, a normal, a hu-man.
2) Arrows are lame weapons, and it doesn't make sense they'd be fast enough to hurt most of his enemies. He would be better if he used super-guns, and it would make a lot more sense.
3) He's a pinko, blech.
4) I hate his campy Robin Hood outfit.
