So far it looks promising...but it is short to say something clear. Then again , any version of Green Arrow is better than the current one really.

I just hope they make ollie as his old loveable-jerk self...and definately involve Black Canary since she is as popular ( hell sometimes even more so than ) as Green Arrow. Although I don't know how ''super-powery'' the series will go and that might depend on if they wanna go with a more 'Realistic' setting rather than having supers running around.

You know what this show needs? Charisma Carpenter!

I have more faith in comic book shows then movies. A movie has to jam in a whole story in about 1 or 2 hours while a show can have many 1 hour long shows. My point is that TV works more like comics then movies, but the way marvel is doing movies now it might change everything. As for Arrow I'm going to watch it and give it a chance, but if it sucks then it sucks, but I won't hate Green Arrow. I'll hate the show.

From what the clip showed it looks good. If he is running around town in his Green Arrow outfut it should be better than Smallville since he NEVER wore the outfit.

Okay, that looked way better than I was expecting. I was expecting it to look TERRIBLE, sure, but I really do think that was an awesome clip. No bearing on what the show will actually be once we get narrative and storylines in there, but I'm actually optimistic now.

If the show is paced similarly to Nikita and the fights scenes are actually worth it and live up to the character since Green Arrow actually knows how to throw down, I'll watch. Hopefully, they won't Smallville it up 15 second fight scene that consists of throwing someone and shooting an arrow at them at the end of the episode.

Super excited, can't wait to watch!

And now, ladies and gentlemen, observe, as another television station takes it to far. Smallville was good enough. They didn't need anymore. But now, they're trying to get their hands on as many DC heroes as they can, because one of them made a lot of money. I don't want to judge to quickly, but I don't see this going very far. This kind of thing rarely works. Look at the Aquaman and Wonder Woman TV shows. How well did those go?

Meh, I'll give it a chance but it looks rather generic. I also have a hard time wrapping my head around archer heroes. It just seems so impractical. Not only is a bow slower and more cumbersome than a gun, same with arrows vs bullets, but..he's a hero so he's not trying to fire arrows into their jugular. It just seems silly.

Same in the Avengers movie. Hawkeye is plucketing aliens and ships off with his arrows lol...he would have done A LOT more damage and taken down more aliens with a frakin' gun! I know it's for style, skill, blah blah but it's so ludicrous what I'm seeing that style and skill go by the wayside for me. Archer heroes bug me.

I do like Hawkeye in UMvC 3, though :)

Thank goodness Justin Heartly isn't green arrow, he was not that good in his role during Smallville.

I am seriously looking forward to this. Green Arrow was such a jerk but you could not help but love him... who would have thought a rich kid could be so liberally minded? He really put Lantern to shame in the 80s comics even if he looked a dick doing it.

That guy is in phenomenal shape.

I'm the biggest Superman fan ever and I love smallville. However this is going to be better than Smallville though. It surely looks like it.

It certainly has the potential to be enjoyable. The production value hasn't grown much from Smallville but if they can keep on track with general story then we could be looking at a good interpretation. May even lead to a decent DC movie that isn't Batman.

I would not be surprised if the viewing public confuses this character either with Hawkeye from Avengers, or 'The Cape', with was laughed of the air. The Cape took itself far too seriously for how silly it was, and I see the thing happening in these trailers. Olie is funny, irreverent, and has a swash buckler's approach to crime fighting and life. That's the best thing about Olie. Can't really judge it with out seeing it, but I see this series premiere being embraced by the mainstream non-comic reading audience with a collective yawn.

@Mega_spidey01: I don't think that you can really compare the two characters just because they both use a bow and arrows.... and lots of super heroes have similar back stories... coming from hardship and losing loved ones has always been something writers have used to give characters more depth and purpose.

As excited for this as I am for the Annoying Orange tv show... jk :P
