Green Arrow and Green Lantern are mystified when a lookalike of Hal Jordan's predecessor appears! What does this character have to do with Abin Sur and the original Green Lantern Corps? All they know is that this may be their only chance to get the upper hand on the intergalactic criminals known only as the Black Circle!

Kyle Rayner gets a call from Connor Hawke to come to Star City, quick. When he gets there Ollie and Connor introduce him to Amon Sur, Abin Sur's son.

Amon Sur links with Kyle's ring to explain he is part of Special Police Force and he is tracking the Black Circle, a crime syndicate, to earth and he needs help stopping them from getting a foot hold on Earth.

Ollie, Connor and Kyle agree to go to Amon's ship and get some tracking equipment, when they get to the ship they are ambushed by a bounty hunter working for the Black Circle. Ollie is shot but not badly wounded.

Before they can question the bounty hunter he blows up. Kyle and Amon Sur fly into space to try and stop an exchange, but are ambushed by a cloaked Black Circle ship.

Ollie tries to track the Black Circle in Star City but he too is ambushed and left for dead.
