    Review: Green Arrow #1 0

After being "banished" from Star City in the last volume, Oliver Queen, The Green Arrow, has taken refuge in the center of the demolished Star City, which has become a lush forest, and a dangerous place for criminals.   The Good Where to start? As you may know, Green Arrow has been getting pooped on the past few months, with the most recent pooping being that Green Arrow was banished from Star City, but obviously, that didn't stop him. This book has turned into what I always hoped Gr...

    Green Arrow=awesome! 0

The Short and Sweet Review(no spoilers) The Good - I loved this issue! this is my first in introduction to Neves, i loved the writing! This issue was well written, strong diction and syntax. The script had its philosophical moments, and overall the writing was stong, swift and to the point! It always added to the story and never hindered with cheese ball dialogue. - I began attracted because the storyline presented the ever occurring theme of nature vs industrialization and the wealthy vs poor. ...

Green Arrow #1 (some spoilers) 1

The Good   1) Subtext- I liked how this book had some social relevance to it. The antagonists introduced in the book were so poignant to today's society, that I caught myself laughing at how right on Krul was. 2) Writing- Unlike a lot of other books I have read, the useless jabber was at a minimum in this book. All of the dialogue between the characters contributed to the growth of the story. Story wise, Krul has taken the philosophy of Robin Hood and made it his own. The originality is astoundi...

Finally, the Treatment the Emerald Archer Deserves 0

The title of my review sums my feelings of this up pretty well. I've always thought that the Green Arrow was an unfortunately underrated character. It seems that most often writers often portray him as either a goofball millionaire or an unlikeable scoundrel. At the core of this, many often forget that first and foremost, he is a superhero. This debut issue (very new reader friendly), takes ideas and concepts we've seen often enough and presents them in a way that you can get excited about old O...

The Modern Day Robin Hood 0

Plot & Action: It's issue one so we get an establishment of a post "Blackest Night" and "Justice League: Rise and Fall" world for Green Arrow. I thought J.T. Krul really nailed his "Fall of Green Arrow" mini-series, so I'm glad that he's given the chance to further develop those storylines. I was a bit surprised at one death because I thought that character was going to play a bigger role, but I guessed wrong. Readers do get to see a new threat appear while some supporting characters work th...

Green Arrow starts out big in Brightest Day 0

To be honest, Green Arrow isn't exactly my favorite superhero. He's a bad ass with a bow, but I just didn't like Oliver. I do like his new sidekick Mia aka Speedy. During the years, he hasn't been the greatest vigilante or civilian at that matter (cheating on Dinah aka. Black Canary in the years, getting a divorce from Dinah recently (I think), killing Prometheus etc.). On top of that, the Green Arrow family has seen better days. Now that Star City knows that Oliver is Green Arrow, he's been "ba...

The Green Arrow returns to Star City 0

Cover The art is really great and the art looks like more like a real picture than a drawing. Story Green arrow helps out this woman in the woods and they look at the city and sees that they are rebuilding things but, things are also destroyed. The businessmen of Queen Industries are meeting the new owner of the industries and it is a woman names Isabel Rochev. The Green Arrow gets food from an expensive dinner and gives it to the poor people. The mayor gets stab from a person who is pretendin...

Green Arrow Crawls From the Wreckage 1

Issue one of the new Green Arrow series which follows on from the events of Blackest Night, Justice for All and The Rise and Fall; three major story arcs which have torn the Emerald Archer's world apart and lost him pretty much everything. Since the start of the Green Arrow/Black Canary series the Green Arrow tales have been no better than average. Most in fact were very poor. The first issue of this new series, however was the most interesting an promising GA stories I have read since GA/BC beg...

Robin Hood: Men in Ti-I Mean Green Arrow 0

I don't like Green Arrow. I've never liked Green Arrow. After I accepted he's not just a lame Batman knockoff of sorts (when I was just starting into comics) he was still boring and downright annoying to me. I could accept him in a group of heroes but couldn't bear to foray into his solo titles. Because I'm incredibly OCD, I had to check this one out because I'm currently purchasing all Brightest Day Tie-Ins. I'm very glad for that because I LOVED THIS ISSUE.  The Good: Wow, where to begin? The ...

    It's his forest. 0

The new Green Arrow series and new tie-in to Brightest Day.This one focuses on the forest that Boston grows at the end of Brightest Day # 0.  The Story :We start withGreen Arrow stoping some guys trying to rape a woman. Then we get some information on how the city is now crap ever since Cry for Justice. It seems that the mayor of the police Commissioner Nucodera are basically not helping all the disaster areas in the city.ALso the relief by the gouverment but it was only a photo-op.Then we see tha...

If it's Green, kill it 0

Green Arrow's new series starts off pretty damn well. Well enough that it was almost worth the outrageous price of $4.25 (almost). I think we all saw that awesome three page preview in Brightest Day and have been wetting ourselves ever since (at least me). This comic begins with those three pages which are somehow even more satisfying to read here. We see that the government has done very little for the people left homeless and starving by the attack on Star City, and what they did was just a ph...
