    The Name's Calloway....Peter Calloway 0

Comic book writers are not exactly famous among their fans by being the kind of people to have balls.  Odd way to start this review huh ? Don't worry, we'll get to our gothamite trio of beauties in a second.   Comic book writers tend to play it safe most of the time, they usually are dealing with property that is not owned by them, they are playing with someone else's toys and usually must watch their step with things like continuity, consistency and logical behavior (depending on which characte...

    Good, but not great... 0

Gotham City Sirens is one of the titles that will be dropped at the upcoming DC "revamp". As a reader who jumped on late into the series I'm going to be sad to see it go. I've enjoyed this current arc even though it seems to be winding down in a very "so-so" way.  Peter Calloway writes an issue that steamrolls to the conclusion through various action sequences. We have Poison Ivy trying to woo Harley away from the Joker, Catwoman and Batman fighting through a horde of escapees, the obligatory s...

    "Does anyone change?" 2

Synopsis: Will the Gotham City Sirens make up, or is this the end of the trio?  What's Good? I was so hesitant to pick up this issue due to the fact DC is relaunching in September and Gotham City Sirens is not on the list, and the direction the series was taking. However, there were a couple of good moments in this issue that brought Sirens back into good form. I got to admit, I did love Harley getting in Ivy's head. Ivy and Harley have a long history between each other, and like Ivy, I was a ...

Yes the joke is on you audience 4

Yes I skipped over two other issues but I got this one early and had to voice this I just had to. Now I'm not bitter, I'm not starting a flame war, "I ain't even mad" but ignore each review you've seen on this issue because this issue single handedly killed Gotham sirens. No they didn't graciously end it you know like; "were all friends in the end and even if we find ourselves on the other side of the law will have that respect for one another now and at least hold back when we throw our punches...

    GIRLFRIENDS NO MORE?!?!?! 0

Gotham City Sirens #24 IS HARLEY'S CHARACTER DEVELOPING OR RETROGRESSING?!?!? I just don't know anymore. The newsletter says that everyone wanted her and mistah J back together. UGH I don't know I guess it doesn't even matter because of September but whateva! SO Harley of course chooses Joker over Poison Ivy so she gets screwed. Then Bruce and Selina work together to stop the whole riot. They take down the prisoners and H & J! Harley and Joker go to jail. Then Selina has a score to settle wi...

    A Perfect Wrap-Up Issue 2

There are only two issues left in this awesome, awesome series so Calloway's on a mission to make sure he ties up loose ends.  Catwoman finally gets her revenge for the mistrust the other girls had for her in issue 2.  Harley finally has to decide whether to go with Joker or Ivy.  In fact, Calloway did such a good job, I'm not sure what'll happen in the next two issues.  Perhaps he'll help setup the upcoming Suicide Squad and Catwoman books?    What I loved the most about this issue was Joker's ...
