Harley Quinn...to kill The Joker?
What's Good?
Finally, Another Harley Quinn story! After the recent stories with Selina, I was afraid that Harley would never get any time in this series. I haven't forgotten her origins as a psychologist, and it works throughout this issue. I did like the warped version of Harley's tales of the people she encountered, including Basil Karlo's aka. Clayface's backstory. The way she's hallucinating that the Joker is near by laughing ,is a nice touch too.
Great cover by Guillem March.
What's Bad?
Really? Harley Quinn evil? Killing people (I know that guard got killed but I'm not sure about Alice Sinner)? The idea still hasn't grasped my mind yet. I mean, Harley is supposed to be the fun one in the group, and Poison Ivy is the one that might kill you if tempted. I know Harley is capable of evil things, but it's very out of the ordinary in this issue, and we also don't find out why exactly is she doing this other than looking for The Joker.
The artwork is not that bad, but the pages where Harley tells each character's flashbacks are bit hard to follow. I know what the artist was trying to do, but trying to follow the panels with the dialogue made my head hurt.
Overall: This story shows promise. I haven't completely given up on this series.
