Its time for a girl talk with Ivy.
Catwoman and Harley have a "girl talk" with Ivy about her new man-er.....alien.
Pros:
How should I put this? This issue is somewhat sappy like watching a soap opera on tv, but still keep things interesting with good writing and action. The idea of Poison Ivy and her new romance turning the planet into a plant like world isn't half bad and it does fit into this series.
Characterization shines in this issue. In a sense, there's a taste of what each woman is like: Catwoman is one who is trying to do "good", Poison Ivy is trying to do whats best in her own way even if it means killing, and Harley is somewhat innocent, but has a big heart. While Catwoman was in this comic, this issue particularly focus the attention on Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. Their relationship with men haven't been great in the past and thats what brought the two together in one of my favorite villain female team ups. While Ivy helped her out with things with the Joker, This issue lets Harley return the favor for Ivy. In a way, Harley is the hero in this issue and not Ivy.
Cons:
Again, the artwork is mixed for me and it has been for the last few issues. The cover and some pages, look great that fit the tone with the colors, but in some pages, what hurt are the background panels of the forest. Some look half finished.
Overall: This wasn't a bad ending, but I'm glad this arc is over with, as it felt a little disjointed with the last few issues. I'm glad I didn't skip this issue. It seems that Talia will make an appearance in the next issue, and last time I remembered, Catwoman and her aren't exactly friends. Should be interesting how it turns out though.
