Golza is an ancient subterranean monster, he can shoot soundwave beams from his head. He suddenly appears along with the flying monster Melba to destroy three statues that contain powers of ancient giants who protected mankind 30 million years ago. They successfully destroyed two statues, but they didn't expect Daigo Madoka to awaken the last one, which is Ultraman Tiga.
Golza merely matches Tiga in close combat, but he is easily overpowered after Tiga change into Power Type. Golza escapes underground after being severely injured.
Days later, Golza absorbs powers from lava and challenges Tiga again with all abilities powered up. Golza turns into Fire Golza, he shoots lava beams from head, and his durability largely increased that Tiga cannot hurt him under Multi Type. Golza also gains the ability to absorb energy, thus he immunes to Tiga's Ultra beam. However, he still loses to Power Type and gets thrown into a volcano.
