Romance stories include “My Secret Husband”, and “My Clay Idol’, both drawn for Fox Features in the late 1940’s by the team of Harry Harrison and Wallace Wood; “Song In My Heart”, “I Joined A Teenage Sex-Club”, “Enchanted Holiday”, “Secret Heart” and “For The Love Of Mike”, all by Bob Powell; “Blinded By Love”, from Alex Toth; Ralph Mayo’s “Beautiful Schemer; “Gossip Condemned Me”; “Anguish In My Heart” and “You Must Trust Love”, BOTH drawn by John Romita in his Pre-Marvel/Atlas AND Pre-DC Comics days, plus Sheldon Moldoff’s “Madelon”. An oversized, 164-page collection of vintage comic book stories celebrating both tenderness and brutality- hence the title: “Guns and Roses”.
