Bulma offers Goku a chance to repair some of the brain damage he suffered as a child via surgery. He is hesitant, but Chi Chi points out to him that he is always looking to improve himself and this is just another way to do so. He agrees to undergo the surgery.

The surgery has an unexpected side affect. Not only does it make Goku far more intelligent than before, but it reverts him back to his cruel and bloodthirsty Saiyan self. He becomes Kakkarot. Brainwashed once again, he sets out to conquer the planet and destroy anyone who gets in his way.

The Z Fighters are no match for Kakkarot. The boys try to fuse, but Kakkarot stops them by severely injuring and almost killing Goten. As he is torturing his own son, Gohan steps in. Gohan is able to get the upper hand against his father, even after he goes SSJ3, but Kakkarot uses his love for Goku to fool Gohan into letting his guard down. In the end Vegeta is the only one left to stop Kakkarot.

Vegeta is losing horribly at first, but in his desperation he is able to become a SSJ3. Vegeta quickly gains the upper hand, and in the end he has Kakkarot in base form and trying desperately to escape. Vegeta brings his fist down on his head, and when Kakkarot awakens he has become Goku once more. He is confused as to why he is restrained and has no memory of what happened. When Chi Chi tells him what happened and he learns what he did to Goten, he leaves Earth in despair.

This will never work, it's actually an interesting plot line.

Don't do something like "goku regains his saiyan self" it's been done too many times (heck, turles is is meant to be exactly what goku would be if he hadn't hit his head).

I'm not sure if you've read ender's game, but in it, ender realises that all the "training sessions" he'd had was actually committing genocide

So maybe something like that

I think one change I will make if I ever write this is have Goku remember what he did while he was Kakkarot. Imagine having memories of torturing your own son, it would be different than simply being possessed and waking up afterwards.

This would actually make a great fanfic.

I'd rather see an evil version from a different universe in DBS, or an alternate timeline version (sort of like how Trunks has his shitty timelines there could be an Evil Goku timeline).
