Simon J. Paladino, better known as “Gazerbeam,” was a superhero in the Incredibles universe. He was inspired to become a hero by Mr. Incredible, Frozone and Gamma Jack. They even came up with his name, as Simon originally wanted to be called “Viewpoint.”
Gazerbeam would later become the leader of the famed “Thrilling Three” superteam after the death of Dynaguy.
When supers were outlawed by the government, Simon was forced to leave his heroic identity behind and used his civilian position as a lawyer to fight for “superhero rights.”
Unfortunately, Simon could not resist the thrill of being Gazerbeam one last time, as he accepted an invitation from Syndrome to rid his island of a rampaging robot. In truth, he had been lured into a trap, as Syndrome only wished to use him as a test-subject for his Omnidroid.
Though he had been mortally wounded in battle, Gazerbeam managed to escape the Omnidroid and crawled into a nearby cave. Here, he used his laser vision to carve the word “KRONOS” onto a wall, before succumbing to his wounds.
Powers & Abilities
As a highly-successful lawyer, Simon was very intelligent. He was also skilled at hacking computers and security systems.
Laser Vision - Simon possessed the ability to fire intense laser blasts from his eyes. These blasts were enhanced by a “Containment Helmet” which incorporated “Vision Intensity Focus Lenses.”
Superhuman Stamina - As shown on his NSA file, Gazerbeam possessed high levels of endurance, also known as “stamina,” with his corresponding bar being almost full.
