Galactus is the infamous "Devourer of Worlds" in the Marvel Universe. His powers are nearly omnipotent. He has appointed several entities as his Heralds, imbuing them with the Power Cosmic. He uses energy from the core of planets and universal sources to sustain himself.
They are doing a Silver Surfer movie, but hasnt been said whats it about, but is ment to be more dark the FF films and also Galactus is going to be the bad arse that he is.
In an ideal world it would be great however it could well stink which is a shame considering given the right people on the job this movie could rival 2001. I would vote Darren Aronofsky for director.
It can and should be done. The only reason I could stand Avatar was because it showed us that the technology was there to render things believeble in CGI. But too, there is a reason both Galactus and the Surfer are popular. They are universal characters who, though they are gods of the MU, we can relate to. They are both interesting and believable. And I don't think you do justice with one without the other. Galactus isn't complete without the Surfer, just as a Surfer story isn't as good without Galactus being somewhere.
