    Origin

    Gabrielle Haller was a survivor of a Nazi concentration camp in Germany. During her time at the camp, the secret location of a hidden stash of gold was implanted in her mind. A result of this was a mental imbalance that was diagnosed as schizophrenia by some yet it caused Gabrielle to go into a catatonic coma.

    Creation

    Gabrielle Haller was created by Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum and first appeared in The Uncanny X-Men Vol.1 issue 161 (1982).

    Major Story Arcs

    After the War

    After the war, Gabrielle was hospitalized in Israel. It was here that a young Charles Xavier first met her. Charles was a mutant with telepathic abilities. He used his powers to help cure Gabrielle. As she recovered, the two fell in love.

    Legion Quest

    As she recovered they had an encounter with a cadre of mutants hell bent on protecting Charles they were time traveling X-Men; Bishop, Psylocke and Iceman; out to stop her future son Legion from destroying the timeline. They were successful but the relationship didn't last long, but Gabrielle soon found herself pregnant with Charles' son, whom she named David Charles. Gabrielle decided not to burden Charles with the revelation of their child. It wasn't until David's teen years that Charles was contacted in trying to help their child's mental issues.

    Ambassador and Operation Zero Tolerance

    Gabrielle currently is Israel's ambassador to the United Kingdom. While Charles was a prisoner of Bastion's Operation: Zero Tolerance she wrote letters to the United Nations to have him freed. She and Sabra were also the ones to discover that Magneto's Eric Lensherr identity was a fabrication, they also discovered the man who forged the identity dead and knew Magneto would make a return.

    Recently

    She was in the UN building when the Leper Queen had Surge and Hellion dropped off to destroy it. They were stopped and no harm came to her. Inside, she was arguing with the revived Trask about the prospect of new Sentinels.
