The return of the Fighters...Phantom Lady!!

    Speedy Review!!

Go figure Palmiotti and Gray are writing a book and I am buying it!!  I loved the first Freedom Fighter's mini that came out some years back.  Then was somewhat disappointed in the second one.  However, as soon as this was announced I was on board.
Justin and Jimmy are a team worth checking out on whatever project they are doing together!  So how was this you ask?  Well I was very pleased with the opening chapter of this new on-going series!  My only complain is with the front load nature of the action.  That is not to say that there isn't action that keeps the story moving, because there is!  But the opening is just gang busters and the rest is good story but a bit slower, no not slow, just slower than the opening.  The team does a great job of introducing itself with very usefull boxes.   With that said you still might have benefited from some more explaination of the characters if you are new to the team.  Overall this was a very good opening chapter and I am certainly on board!  So check back next month for the review of issue #2.

On the art side I would have to say that Travis Moore has brought his A- Game!  I have not been a fan of his work and was a bit leary of his announced participation on the creative team.  My fear was for naught!@  Very good story telling and panel layouts that were easily followed!

4 out of 5 for this and a recommedation to all to pick this book up!

      Great issue! 0

I really love Freedom Fighters.  I loved this team way back when(1940s-70s).  The story in this issue begins a little stale but as it reaches the end things heat up and I really can't wait to see what happens in issue #2.  The art in this book looks great, I love all the covers and obviously Travis Moore did an excellent job with the interior.  I REALLY liked the page 2 and 3 as it was an old school double page spread; GREAT JOB.   My only problem with this issue is that the average 13-26 yea...

      Review: Freedom Fighters #1 0

The Freedom Fighters and Uncle Sam have returned in this new series!  The Good I've never read a Freedom Fighters book before, and this new series does a pretty good job at introducing the readers to the characters and world, without bogging down the story. The opening to this book is amazing. There's nothing more satisfying than a bunch or racist Nazis getting the tar kicked out of them by some good ol' heroes! Those first 6 pages are the most fun I've read this week. I think Black Condor ...
