The Free Radicals are a collection of fringe scientists to the reality of X-Men 2099 who dedicate their livelihoods to a "pure democracy" society absent of corporate and government authoritarianism. Their earliest appearance revolved in their efforts of kidnapping Wakanda advocate and brother of Krystalin of Detroit in their efforts to control several inner-city societies Members of the Free Radicals roster remain uncertain but the original have included Rainmaker, Daze, Trance, Instant Karma, and Billy The Kid. Since the discontinued works of the Marvel 2099 series upon the seizure of America to its reality by Dr. Doom, the Free Radicals team has either disbanded or remained subverted.
