    Lifeless Abomination

    THE GOOD:
I really think that Alberto Ponticelli has cleaned up his pencils a bit more. It is much easier to see what is occurring then in the first few issues. I really like the way the characters look and the expressions are amazing in this issue. The backgrounds are simple but also manage to make you feel that a place is a very bad place. The writing is amazing in this issue. Jeff Lemire writes his finale issue like he wrote the first one. He gives us a huge threat that connects to Animal Man and explains a whole lot about that. I really like the over the top action that this book has and this issue adds to it. This issue was special for me because of the last pages. I think that the wordless pages just give you a whole bunch of sense of character and I'm glad they did that.

    THE BAD:
I really wish we would still have Lemire on the book. I also wish they could've gone more into the Rot back story since they have a lot of advance technology, I though we might get a little info.

    THE VERDICT: 4.5/5 (Amazing)
Jeff Lemire is a great writer and it really shows in this series. It's over the top and I think that the dialog worked well with him on this run. I'm not familiar with the new writer so it may continue at this amazing pace. I would recommend this series who want a comic book that sorta reflects on how comics are these days. Out of control and filled with quirk. I really like this series and I hope more people start reading it soon.

I have one, and only one, real complaint about this issue, and it mostly gets resolved. At the end of the previous issue, Frankenstein laments his wife's departure from S.H.A.D.E., but resigns himself to continue, as it is all he has left. At the beginning of this issue he's seriously considering leaving S.H.A.D.E. for the same reasons his wife did. But then the character development that revolves around this pretty much fixes that hiccup. Now that we've got that out of the way I can gush, becaus...
