Frank Sharp

Origin

When Frank was born to his parents Emily and Jack it was obvious that he was special. He was born with a very disfigured face. Then later he developed a strange ability. If Frank shook hands with someone he could give them a command and they would obey without question. This power never worked on his parents.

As Frank got older he started abusing his powers, hypnotizing women to sleep with him, commanding adults to buy him beer or having goons do his bidding. These actions never sat well with Frank's father, and his mother always choose to ignore Franks bad behavior

At some point Frank started to call the people he used his power on "Trout". One such Trout who became Franks only real friend is Elliott. Together the two planned to take over Gotham.

Creation

Frank was created by Tom Peyer for his story Arc Irresistible in the Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight volume.

After getting kicked out of his parents house, Frank collects Elliott and the pair go to Gotham, where after shaking hands with Mayor Gill, a major record exec and several other high powered individuals Frank is sitting pretty. But then one night he is visited by the Batman, who does say anything just stares at him. This unnerves Frank and he sets up a meeting with Penguin. There he shakes hands with the Penguin and orders him to give him a large chunk of money, which the Penguin has to agree with.

This transaction calls the attention of two of Penguin's goons who pay Frank a visit. The goons plan on killing Frank but Batman shows up and saves him. Frank tries to shake Batman's hand but the Dark Knight just leaves. The next night, Frank pays a visit to Penguin, this time he orders him to let Frank beat him up. While beating up the Penguin Frank learns that Penguin is losing a grip on his organization and the villain begs Frank to let him leave Gotham. Frank allows him and then heads out to a party.

At the party he is approached by Bruce Wayne, who want to hire Frank as a record executive. Frank agrees and shakes Bruce's hand, he then orders Bruce to jump off the building they are standing in. Think he just killed Bruce Wayne, Frank plans on leaving Gotham.

While leaving he cuts ties with Elliott, and almost gets whacked by one of Penguin's goons, but due to his planning almost gets out of Gotham. But he is confronted by Batman, who captures him and offers him his bare hand to shake. Frank is tempted but instead gives himself up.

Later while in Arkham Asylum, Frank is visited by Bruce Wayne, who says he survived the fall by just being rich. Bruce then tells Frank he has other visitors, his parents. Frank's mom and dad then offer to help Frank and offer him their open hands.

Powers

When ever Franks shakes hands with someone that person becomes under Frank's control and do what ever he says. This includes such things as, give him a job, beat-up a stranger, let Frank beat them up, or jump off a building, to name a few. Frank usually follows up an order with forget why you did this, or meet me again next week or forget you ever meet me. At one point it is revealed that why someone is under his control they remember the other times they were under Frank's control, but they still can't fight his control.

Franks powers don't work on his parents and can be subverted by a high willpower.
