Frank Future is the name of two charactes from parallels universe inside the DC Multiverse. Both are essentially the same character, an equivallent to Mr. Fantastic, the chief of a team analog to the Fantastic Four. In a similar way, Frank Future is the leader of the Future Family, the analog team to Fantastic Four.
Frank Future, in his earth 8 iteration, made a cameo appearence in Final Crisis: Superman Beyond 1. His identity was revealed in The Multiversity 1.
History
Frank Future of Earth 7
A parallel version of Frank Future existed in earth-7, know as Doc Future. He fought against the gentry in his home universe, but was defeated, with his body deformed and expanded beyond his own control and wrapping the destroyed city he once protected.
Frank Future of Earth 8
As the leader of the Future Family, Frank Future keep their world safe from threats like the destructive Lord Havok and the Extremists. However, it is possible that he is responsible for the origin of Lord Havok, but the circumstances still are unknown.
He along with the Future Family tried to stop Havok from activate the Cosmic Egg, unsuccessfully. However he was among the first line of heroes who fought against the Gentry corrupted Nix Uotan, protecting the innocent bystanders and facing the gentrified corpses of the fallen heroes of earth 7, convinced than everything had a weakness. Thanks to the assistance of heroes from other earths, the gentry would be expulsed from earth 8.
