A handsome male member of the Akatsuki. His ring is the "Seiryu", Azure Dragon, which is worn on his right index finger. He is a master of his "art" (explosive clay). Itachi forced him to join Akatsuki. He was partnered with Sasori. After Sasori's death, Deidara was partnered with his replacement Tobi.
He was the one responsible for sealing the Nine-Tails inside Naruto, believing he would control its power someday. He also learned the Rasengan, The Reaper Death Seal, and The Flying Thunder God Technique; the latter earning him the nickname "The Yellow Flash of the Leaf." (Konoha's Yellow Flash). His full name is revealed to be Minato Namikaze and is also Naruto Uzumaki's father. He would later learn sealing techniques (fuinjutsu) of the Uzumaki clan from his wife, Kushina Uzumaki, who is Naruto's Mother.

Juugo, naturally nice and gentle, but has homicidal urges due to his Curse Mark. He sought Orochimaru to cure him and was locked away, Orochimaru instead found a way to give others his Curse Mark. He was best friends with Kimimaro. He is a member of Sasuke's Team Taka (formerly Team Hebi).
Kakuzu is a greedy bounty hunter. He does not like having a partner because he is prone to violent outbursts in battle that have claimed the lives of his partners, however his new partner is special. He was an S-Rank Missing-nin from Takigakure and a member of the organization called the Akatsuki who was partnered with Hidan.
Karin was a guard in charge of one of Orochimaru's prison labs. Sasuke invited her to join his team because of her tracking abilities, but she'd rather ditch the others and have Sasuke all to herself. It is later revealed that she is a descendent of the Uzumaki clan.

Madara Uchiha is an antagonist in Naruto Shippuden. He was once the leader of the famed Uchiha Clan who aided in the founding of Konohagakure no Satō (Hidden Leaf Village). He battled with the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, over the issue of leadership. It is then revealed that he is the one who influenced Tobi/Obito to carry out Project Tsuki no me (Eye of the Moon Plan). Madara was the first Uchiha ever to awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan. His dream is to stop all wars and bring peace.
The mysterious and powerful leader of Akatsuki, a band of S-rank missing-nin. He possesses the Sage's revered Rinnegan, the eyes of reincarnation. A student of the Toad Sage, Jiraiya, and a descendant of the Uzumaki clan.
Sasori was a ninja that betrayed the Hidden Sand village and joined the Akatsuki, Deidara being his partner. He was a master of puppeteering, his choice fighting style. His former partner in the Akatsuki was Orochimaru. He killed the Third Kazekage and turned him into a human puppet. One of his spies in the Akatsuki was Kabuto Yakushi.
Sasuke is an anti-hero in the Naruto series. He is the lone survivor of the Uchiha Clan and a former member of Squad 7. He betrayed the Leaf Village to follow his own obsession with revenge. After his battle with Naruto at the end of the series, he regretted his past actions and chose to travel the land and eventually became a key protector of the Leaf Village. He is the young brother of Itachi Uchiha.
Suigetsu is from the Hidden Mist village and was being trained to be one of the Seven Swordsmen. He now wields Zabuza's sword.
Tobi, born under the name of Obito Uchiha, is the true true leader of the Akatsuki. He was part of a Genin team with Kakashi and Rin and trained by the Fourth Hokage, Minato. Thought dead and after witnessing the death of his beloved Rin, he was saved by Madara Uchiha and chose to turn his back on his village and take over the world. He was the Jinchūriki of the 10 tails.
Zetsu is a living organism that Madara Uchiha created from the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and Hashirama's living clone. His dark half was imbued with the manifested will of Madara.
