Make a new x-men team you want to come out right now.
I want to see a "Brotherhood" team. Not villains but principled and self-rightous on-the-fence types with a violent past:
Core Pick: Magneto/ Sabertooth/ Mystique/ Archangel/
Variables: John Greycrow; Voight; Tempo; Marrow; Callisto; Toad; Lorelei II; Thornn; Abyss; Avalanche etc.
Outliers: Domina (Neo); Dark Beast (because he is bored); 616 Blink
I would also add some heroes that have psychotic violent streaks but are bothered by it...NOT like X-Force though, they had a steady function but lacked fundamentalism
@teerack: I think Cable, Rachel, Ruby and Jeen would make a more interesting lineup.
I've never really liked Cable outside of Cable and Deadpool and I only know Ruby from what I saw of her in Secret Wars so i don't got much opinion on that line up. I just think it be cool to see Rachel and Hope act more like sisters and Jean be more of a mom, and then it just be interesting to see how teen Jean fit into it. Jean has been dead for so damn long Rachel STILL hasn't really gotten to meet her mom and get a relationship with her. It sucks :c
At this point, only mixing up the generations can save some grace I guess. All this "two teams with most popular characters, preferably Blue/Gold/o5/Giant Size"crap is so overdone, tired and boring there's nothing exciting about it at this point of continuity. Truth be told, Extra, I'm not talking about the writing right now, just with the lineup alone, kind of bores me with how uninspired it happens to be.
At the same time look at Bunn's Uncanny, the first promo that revealed a teamup of Magneto, Sabretooth, Psylocke, Fantomex and Mystique made shake my head really, really hard in the beginning and look what happens now as I'm being nervous about what happens between Monet and Sabretooth next! lmao! I guess it's contradictory to the initial paragraph, it does have to do everything with the writing, but I mean, M and Creed having chemistry? It was so effing random and unbelievable in the beginning, just as was Psylocke and Magneto one day I guess.
What I want to say, we need more "X-diverse" lineups and not just stick with the familiar and overused. I think giving writers a chance if their creative team chooses to pick the unexpected teamups is not only the right thing to do, but that's actually is what we need to demand from them. Well, that's me of course, but I'm finding it extremely hard to believe there's an X-fan that wasn't hyped for Extinction Team. And that was an utterly new direction compared to just a year or two before.
Magik (team leader), Hex (Dani Moonstar), Wolfsbane, M, and Jubilee
So is the majority of this book's concept about X-men characters who have/had alternate versions of themselves in the 616 universe? Was that a fan creation?
They are all former members of the first two junior X-Teams who have been "cursed"--possessed, transformed, or in some way plagued by something mystical in nature or appearance.
Jubilee - vampire, powers removed by magic
M - "infected" by her brother Emplate, mystically possessed by the being Penance, potentially soulless
Magik - corrupted soul in Limbo, advanced magic wielder, potentially soulless, corrupted by the Phoenix
Moonstar - Valkyrie death sense, horrific encounters with the Demon Bear, powers removed by magic, and continued rivalry with the Scarlet Witch in this series that leads to the Xorn mask
Wolfsbane - bears a child that is the anti-Christ, mutation is monstrous in nature
Would eventually add two more members out of the following: Gabby (X-23 clone), X-23, Blindfold, Bling, Idie, or Pixie
If was putting together an X-Team I would use a bunch of the younger X-Men that no one uses anymore, and teleport them across the universe. Where the team is lost, and have to find their way back to earth. They can have crazy space adventure, fighting the Brood, Skrulls, the Technarchy, Deathbird, Vulcan, and the Shi'ar Empire. They can travel to different planets, like Breakworld. That team can even hang out with characters like Lila Cheney, Gladiator, and the Star Jammers.....

Cyclops makes a deal with Mephisto to bring him back to life in his Phoenix form from Battleworld
Brings together dead mutants for a new team to guide mutants to be the inheritors of the Earth by any means necessary.
Brotherhood of X
members list in progress
Introducing the Make the X-Men Great Again Team: Magik, Sunspot, Moonstar, Firestar, Shatterstar, Richter, Layla Miller, Justice, and Prodigy. Guest starring Sage.
Concept: It's been a while since the X-Men have won anything. Quite a while. In fact, it seemed to some of the younger leaders that the senior X-Men were content to let things play out since they knew their Social Security checks were locked in. Tired of the passive approach, a new team of more aggressive X-Men, some of whom are dependable & others of whom are legitimate wildcards get together to actually start winning for once. Think The Authority or the Ultimate Solution - they either deal with the problem before it starts or if starts first, they will damn sure make it so that it ends...with extreme prejudice.
- Fun stuff such as Magik deciding to engage in demonic genocide in another dimension to neutralize a mystical foe and the team, lead by Moonstar (fully repowered) and Layla for this arc, attempt to follow her footsteps and figure out if they can, or should help.
- Going into the past, via Magik's teleportation discs, and assassinating Medusa way back when she was a member of the Frightful Four.
- Deciding they will get the Infinity Gauntlet to deal with the Terrigen Mist without the hand-wringing.
This is one team...That knows How to Go the Distance (cue dramatic explosion, with Magik and Shatterstar posing with their swords, while the rest of the team dramatically peer into the camera while posing. Whether they are heroes or villains depends on the eye of the beholder...but one thing is for sure....they are Uncanny.
Emma. Magneto. Dazzler. Sunspot. Dani. Chamber. Magma. Jubilee and maybe either Blink or Magik for transport. Also Gabrielle Haller is with the team with her ambassador experience and dedication to Xaviers dream.
They are the x-corporation a search and rescue for mutants being oppressed. They also pick the old premise of X-Corporation and Mutant Sans Frontieres.
Maybe include some of the Academy X kids if there was a writer who could handle a big cast. New Xmen: Hellion. Surge. Dust. Mercury. Rock slide. Pixie. X23
All New X-factor
Leader: Madrox (confirmed to be not dead)
Madrox and Layla come out of hiding to show that there are mutants that aren't lawless vigilantes. Their way of doing that is simple: Working with the law instead of against it. Setting back up in New York, they reach out to mutants with questionable reputations to stay doing some good.
Unfortunately, the first mission isn't so easy. Enter Mister Sinister!
Ok my turn:
1st suggestion: Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman, Archangel, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler and Wolverine. I find this 8 members team very efficient and cover most of the mutation we saw so far. It's a X-team a minima.
2nd suggestion: 2 teams(Blue and Gold of course!):
Blue: Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman, Archangel, Beast, Rogue and Gambit.
Gold: Storm, Colosssus, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Psylocke, Polaris and Havok.
These team are balanced: 1 psionic/1 agile mutant/1 blaster/1 elemental/1 bruiser and 2 other type of mutation in each team.
3rd suggestion: 4 teams(extended X-teams)
1)Professor X, Beast, Banshee(Sean Cassidy), Iceman, Archangel, Dazzler.
2)Magneto, Psylocke, Colossus, Sunfire, Magik, Gambit.
3)Storm, Jean Grey, Havok, Wolverine, Sunspot, Nightcrawler.
4)Cyclops, Emma Frost, Polaris, Magma, Cannonball, Rogue.
Well I want to create balanced teams and not let certain known couples being together(Havok+Polaris or Gambit+Rogue for example).
The X Men late 90's team, or early 2000's were a good standard. These are my ideal teams.
I reckon no more than 3 X Teams.
Cyclops (Leader and as he was prior to fucking Hope Summers being brought into the picture)
Wolverine (Not O.M.L and not in every fucking Superman, and actually respects Scott)
Magneto or Prof X
NEW MUTANTS/Generation X
X Man (Give him his power back)
Legion (Bring him back)
