Did anyone else love this scene?

Bendis' UXM and ANXM is fan-service.

Not really a fan of this scene. And not for the obvious reasons.

The art/ storytelling is a little unclear.

As far as has been stated, the Cuckoos are only telepathic. Not telekinetic. But Jean is fighting them (and everyone else in one panel) using her telekinesis. Yet, the Cuckoos remain planted and seem to assault Jean psychically while everyone around them goes flying off panel.

So then, my thought was that this whole scene must've not actually been happening, but was a psychic projection. This would explain why Jean's "telekinesis" wasn't affecting the Cuckoos- Their wills could keep them grounded in this scenario they created. This thought would also be backed up with Emma's "aaaaand scene." comment. She had the Cuckoos end the psychic scenario.

But here's the issue. In the same scene, we have Storm ushering in the Jean Grey School students into the school, and Quentin Quire says, "We can take them!" Now as far as I remember, Quentin is just as psychically powerful as the Cuckoos. And for them to be manipulating the minds of Storm, Wolverine, Magneto, Cyclops, Emma, O5, Quentin Quire and the rest of the student body who witnessed this scene... that seems a bit much.

Am I not reading this right?

Im thinking they were using their TP to make jean not throw TK at them?

Once again all the X-men seem to do is fight each other. I gave up on them a long time ago and I see no reason to ever go back, especially with Character Butcher Bendis in charge.

I loved it lol some Auntie Emma powning-time is always good for me. And the "aaaand scene" part was one of the good Emma showings in the series(showing that Bendis can write her, he just refuses do it constantly lol)

Anyway...Jean needed to be taught a lesson. Sure Emma isn't the most moral person in the world, but Jean was going to flat out mind control Angel (a teammate) because she didn't agree with his choice. That's a bit higher on the list of power abuse then anything the Cuckoo's have done, and anything Emma's done in a long time. And considering she'd just got her powers a little humility might've been needed.

I didn't like those scenes. I think these are much better

@veitha: True, and the fact that jean needs to "focus" (As she states in Guardian of the Galaxy & which she won't get against 3 minds at the same time who would clearly want to win) and a LOT of Psychic energy to hit more than one opponent.

Yep Jean bypassed her "immunity" once again and used the image of her older self to troll Emma pretty hard lol.
