Hey! I was wondering what were the best X-men stories that featured Mr. Sinister? I'm still a bit behind in reading the older X-Men comics, even though I've pretty much read a good bit of them, but I haven't read many stories with Mr. Sinister in it.
Best X-Men stories featuring Mr. Sinister?
@rabbitearsblog: y'know, even though Sinister is one of my favorite X-men villains, I don't think I like most stories he's in. It's almost like he makes bad stories more interesting by being in them or something.
I did enjoy his origin story in The Further Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix (4 issue mini series), though.
And, honestly, he was probably the most interesting part of Gillan's Uncanny X-men (vol. 2). I think the issues of that series that had him in them were the only ones I didn't leave at the laundromat.

Yea i got to agree, i love the character but off the top of my head i cant think of anything with him in it that i LOVED, the Gillian stuff was pretty cool but yea... lol
@mcklayn: yeah, he's great, but he's really never in very good stories..
Lol. Gillen's entire run was a dedication to Sinister, as he received more character development than anyone else in that series, save for Cyclops. Start from there if you're looking for anything recent.

He really was the highlight of the entire series, for me. It's just too bad that wasn't saying more.
Oh, and, Inferno. But you'll get mixed reviews on that one.
Thanks! I'll check Inferno out!
I loooved Gillen's Sinister....... Sinister had a cloned army of weaponized Gambit suicide bombers! That is the Sinister I want to read.....
They should have given the guy a Sinister solo to write instead of further desecrating an already damaged flagship.
Messiah Complex and Uncanny X-Men Vol.2 by Gillen.
In terms of general presence, Age of Apocalypse (1995).
Inferno, as has been stated, has mixed reviews, however, it's sort of a classic X-story. X-Cutioner's song, in which Sinister also features, is viewed as a disappointment by many X-fans. I think this is mainly due to what it was promising as a story when it was released; in retrospect, it's not a bad story, it just didn't live up to fan's expectations.
@ageofhurricane: Careful what you say about Gillen, bud. Otherwise I'll treat ya like Cable did Brand this week!
@rabbitearsblog: His first appearance in Uncanny Xmen 221 was pretty good and also features the Marauders. Like some people mentioned, he appears with his Nasty boys in Xfactor 74/75. Inferno was a decent crossover he played a major role in, and I really enjoyed the X-cutioner's song story arc which featured him, Stryfe, and Apocalypse (along with the MLF and Dark Riders). I would also check out Xmen Endangered species and Messiah Complex. Also Cable and Deadpool 17 features an interesting fight between him and Deadpool!

X-cutioner's song was the first X-men stories I read, and I was so super confused about what was going on. I knew the X-men from the Marvel Superheroes Secret War, so I had no idea who almost anyone was. But, even despite that, and maybe because I had no expectations, I really enjoyed it. I've reread it since, and I still think it holds up.
I wanna say Mutant Massacre, but he was barely even in it. Mostly plays behind the scenes.. It was a good story though, and dark.

He's not in it all. He was even designed yet.
Mr Sinister is better than Ms Sinister
Did anyone suggest otherwise?
