Who Should Really Be Playing Wonder Woman?

I am sure we have all seen by now dc's terrible excuse for amazon especially since this particular amazon goes by the name of Wonder Woman i was crossing my fingers for our Beloved Lucy Lawless to take her rightful place i know now she is older but i think that might have even helped the role and after Xena i would say she has what it takes

I'll wait till I actually see Gadot in the part she's been cast to do before I cry foul over her performance.

its not her performance its just bad casting in my opinion if she doesnt look the part its not gonna work no matter how well she reads her lines but im hardly suprized given how we now have Batfleck

just from what i have seen im not seeing the physical characteristics that i would link to wonder woman

A gorgeous 6 ft tall brunette with long beautiful hair, tiny waist, DD, big glutes, muscular physique, big lips, and blue eyes...

I agree. Although I shouldn't be judgmental, I've seen some of her performances and am not that impressed. But by no means do I feel Lawless should be Diana.

Terry Crews should be Wonder Woman

Lawless is too old anyways and after Spartacus she wouldnt be a respectable WW. And i woulda picked someone like Jaimie Alexander or Jessica Biel, actresses that got some muscle to them

Jaimie Alexander would seem like a logical choice. Biel, probably.

As for a wrestling diva, like a WWE wrestler? I mean, that does sound logical considering how it does take some skill of acting to do what they do.. or so I've been told.

You can always ask Dwayne Johnson or Dave Bautista where wrestling can take you... though I freely admit I don't think I've seen any particularly blessed actors emerge from the wrestling ring.

I thought Jaimie Alexander at first, but she only looks so good as Sif because she wears armor to cover up her arms and legs. So I'm gonna have to agree with Jessica Biel, she has a very nice figure with the perfect amount of muscle for wonder woman. It doesn't matter though, we got Gadot, so let's see how she does...

I think Jessical Bield should play Carol Danvers or Star Sapphire but Gal wonderwoman seems legit to me. She's suppose to be a greek Amazon which mean Mediterranean sea people. Well, Gal Gadot came from that area. Sure she doesn't have the natural blue eyes but that's what contacts are for. I think it can work. No way will we ever have a perfect woman to play Wonder woman in this day and age. Even the old Wonder Woman show was pretty cheesy with Lynda acting. I love her Wonder Woman though.

I think she can do it. Just like Henry Cavil is superman. Only problem I have is Ben Afflect as batman. I keep on hearing "I'm Batman" with a Jersey accent.

My bad i shoulda mentioned i was thinking about what she used to look like when she was young and had the muscle she had left over from when she used to wrestle on her high school wrestling team

this is the direction i was hoping this disscussion to go i put lawless there as my ideal i mean if we could go back in time i personally think in her prime she was made for it and capable after her portayal as a warrior princess however i agree with you i really think a woman with more meat on her bones and natural beauty and curves is always what wonder woman represented for me personally

@foamborn: You're right. A bit of contouring (face editing) might work but her body is what attracts my attention the most. Wonder Woman needs a athletic figure and amazons are usually like that.

I don't think skin tone, or eye color are all that important of factors. Classically she's known to have fair skin, and blue eyes which leads people to want an ango-saxon actress, but those qualities come from an outdated concept of beauty, and were basically just how they drew everyone in the golden age. I think casting a somewhat ethnically ambiguous mediterranean woman was the best thing they could have done. And race aside if they were looking for someone with "the beauty of Aphrodite" I can't think of anyone better then the absolutely gorgeous Gal Gadot. Her acting abilities are still a little questionable as even though I thought she's done well in all the things I've seen her none of those roles were that challenging. I don't think she has a natural prescience though that will lend well to playing Princess Diana.

I dislike them both but I'd rather get Tomasi's than Soule's.

I am happy with Gal Gadot

Classically beautiful, preferably with mediterranean features, swarthy skin and an aquiline nose. She has to be reasonably tall and athletic, give across a strong, intelligent vibe and not have a squeaky voice or any valley girl mannerisms.
