The last time Wonder Woman got a new costume (pants and a jacket), there was quite a commotion. People are often resistant to change. It turns out in WONDER WOMAN #41, on sale in June after Convergence, she'll be getting a new look. HitFix has revealed the solicit for the issue.

WONDER WOMAN #41

Written by MEREDITH FINCH

Art and cover by DAVID FINCH and

JONATHAN GLAPION

THE JOKER Variant cover by BRIAN BOLLAND

On sale JUNE 17 • 32 pg, FC, $3.99 US RATED T

Retailers: This issue will ship with two covers. Please see the order form for details.

A daring new direction begins with the arrival of a brand-new villain! But while he may be new to us, he’s not new to the world he seeks to tame. And speaking of villains, Donna Troy’s quest to destroy Wonder Woman ratchets up another gear (if that’s even possible!), while the games of the Gods bring dark portents to the ultimate Amazon!

Our immediate reaction is it has a lot of red. It really has a patriotic feel to it. Hopefully those wrist spikes are removable. Change is fine. There's no reason Wonder Woman shouldn't have more than one outfit. There's no reason she has to wear the same exact outfit every single time she goes out. We particularly dig Jason Fabok's recent weak in the pages of JUSTICE LEAGUE.

Hopefully we haven't seen the last of that.

What do you think of the new outfit?

I like it alot. Feminine while still looking like something a warrior like Diana would wear. This would have been a great costume for the new movie coming out. Still cant get over wonder woman wearing what looks like high heels.

Let me say that I like it before we get all the "No, she must dress like a whore, or else it isn't wonder woman" people who screwed up her last potential outfit change (jacket and pants) which was awesome as well.

It's repulsive... it's like that thing they put someone in the JL animated movies.

The Finch's can move on now.

Nice design, my only "eeeeehhhh" is on the wrist blades. Seems kinda overkill. Give her the armor with her usual shield, sword, etc.

The thigh high boots and thick shoulder pads are a little much in my opinion, but overall this look isn't half bad. Not my favorite but refreshing in a way.

I like it except for the wrist blades. However, I agree, I hope it stays contained to just the WW book, I love Jason Fabok's design for Wonder Woman too much and I'd hate for that to leave as well.

Very nice. Could do without the stars on her sides, but that's nitpicking. About time Diana got a decent costume that includes pants!

I think it looks alright. Except the wrist blades. She's Wonder Woman, not Predator.

Μixed fillings.

The only thing I am sure about is that those spikes look horrible.

Lol, I swear I've seen those wrist blades in some terrible anime series, but I can't quite put my finger on which one.

One could make the case that it's a bit too "Captain America", but myself I actually really do dig it. It looks cool. Not that I'm particularly against Diana's other costume as shown above, but I think this new look's a nice alternative. The golden wrist-blades in particular are a nice touch. Fashionable and functional!

In b4 hundreds of haters. I actually think it looks fine, though I prefer Fabok's.

Wow, that's not very good. Her previous costume was great. It's the best WW has ever looked.

Also, bringing back gold is not a great idea. Silver worked much, much better with her costume.

I really don't know if I like it or not.

I miss the silver, but other that that is looks good.

I'm guessing that the arm spikes are retractable.

Minus the wristblades, this is literally just Sif with a different color scheme:

Listen, I am a fan of the recent Justice League costume and the DCCU costume. The skirt on those make it feel very......GREEK. It makes sense. This reminds me of 90s Captain America when he wore that suit of armor. She looks like a character from a bad sic-fi novel. Looks like early 90s Image has reared its ugly head once more.

Get rid of the shoulder pads and Azrael gauntlets and I'd be okay with it. It does look very 90's Image though.

All the girls that never buy comics or ever willl, complained about the sexism in the comicbook industry. Wonder Woman's appearance being one of the more iconic examples. I guess DC caved in with their bold new "equality for all" direction. Not to say it's a bad costume at all.

I like it. She still looks beautiful as she should but also looks like a warrior. That said, I absolutely love Jason Fabok's take on WWs costume. I much prefer the silver tones in that costume compared to all the gold.

I would love a Fabok designed statue somewhere down the road.

Wow, I really like it! It looks so good.. then again, I really liked the leather jacket/pants combo from a few years ago and everyone else hated it. I thought DC messed up for giving in and getting rid of the the pants when they rolled out the New 52. Hopefully this look sticks around though!

Like the gentlemen above me said, the design is a little busy. It's like they went the complete opposite route from Superman's new design of simple and casual.

But, I'm super glad they're giving her pants for real this time.

Don't like the spikes but I can deal with pretty much everything else. Not the biggest fan of the boots either but I will see what its like when I see more artwork.
