Thor (2018) Comic Run Discussion Thread

Please don't tell me this garbage is going to be replacing the regular titles, even temporarily.

As far as i can tell, from the limited information that i possess, those titles are gonna happen, but only temporarily, doubt they would replace ALL current titles, but who knows, it's Marvel after all...

I honestly thought this issue wasn't too bad. I actually kinda enjoyed it.

Another awful issue seeing Hela use terms like "are you breaking up with me" and then crying like a little girl because Thanos left her was painful to see.

I’m enjoying this run. It’s also actually selling quite well, which surprised me since the comments here are mostly negative. Ah well.....

Well Old King Thor just got one hell of a feat with the supernova storm that has parsec reach.

This issue was actually pretty good, it featured only Old King Thor and it felt like I was reading an issue from back when Aaron was writing GOT, epic grand scale battles with decent characterization, I was pleasantly surprised with this issue.

If only he could handle the present Thor half as good.....

This recent issue was pretty good. That Mjolnir feat was pretty cool. I don't think Old King Thor died yet, so Logan and Thor are probably going to team up. If only Aaron can give such respect to 616 Thor....

Besides, that ending tho...

this chapter was pretty good.

the fight between Thor and Wolverine was great although Thor fighting Galactus is still a better feat IMO.

you can see lightning coming down on them when Wolverine was about to strike Thor.

But the main question I had was...What does this all have to do with Thor as of NOW? And why does Wolverine have the PF???

@mooty_pass: I guess they want to portray how a being, who is basically immortal, copes with a loss of his friends and how he wants to create life on Earth once more.

as for Wolverine, no idea.

@Lord_Dracul: yeah I’ve never understood the praise Aaron gets, heck the best thing about his Thor run was Ribic’s art.

Since when does Phoenix love Thor???

It is kind of hard to say it considering who the writer is, but the issue was awesome, Old King Thor is a badass who would do anything to keep Midgard safe, plus he's crazy powerful.

Most importantly, finally after years of narration saying Jane is the greatest Thor or the greatest god, we finally got the narration to say again that Thor is the greatest god of all, I was so happy to read that, reminded me of GOT and the God Butcher arc.

The only bad thing about this issue is that apparently Thor still thinks Gorr was right.

King Thor stuff is the only good thing he does.

unfortunately, it's ending.

we will have to suffer his current Thor portrayal.

Ugh, let's hope he doesn't butcher the character anymore.

This issue what pretty good. The fight between Thor, Logan, and DOOM was exciting. I really prefer the art when it pertains to Old King Thor. I assume it matches the style/tone of the future. When it shows current Thor, I have a hard time finding out what the heck is on the page lol.

Only thing I dislike about this issue is the sulking the Old King Thor does. Jesus man, I would assume he got over it in the millennia of him surviving. But apparently not.

Aaron sucks and wish it was non cannon or they would fire his sorry you know what..... bring back Walt

I don't love everything Jason Aaron has done with Thor, Hel, I haven't liked any of his writing since God of Thunder: Godbutcher through Last Days of Midgard. But he clearly liked Thor then and loves writing Thor as THE god in the future. WTH doesn't this man show current Thor the same respect anymore. I don't understand it.

yeah, Loki having a Necrosword was foreshadowed before so I knew it was him trolling Ego.

@thor321: I thought it was pretty cool. Though somewhat of a gut punch for Thor to reference Gorr again IMO. But other than that I thought it was pretty cool.

And i'm glad it answered why the PF took Logan.
