Just because that is the ORIGINAL look, doesn't mean its the TRADITIONAL look. It evolved over time and became the insignia that every one knows. To change it NOW is heresy.

Personally I like the colors and hair for Superman, just not the Jeans and t-shirt look. WW looks great. some modern, yet classic looking armor, and a more warrior feel.

Time to start reading Marvel until DC comes to their senses.

I dig the street social crusader look. Granted could have been cool with longer hair (and beard) but hey they gave that to us already. Interested in the story to find out what happened. Where the cape is etc. And those crying foul over the S shield. That is more classic than ever. Seriously do your homework.

DC just stop messing with the costume. It was a classic for 70 or so years...

He looks badass with the hair cut and stubble.

He doesn't come across as a guy in a Superman t-shirt, he comes across as Superman when he goes to the driveway to get the Sunday newspaper. The integral part of Superman's character was the fact that he was "The Cape", this archetypical superhero that every other superhero looked up to whenever they had doubts about whether they were doing the wrong thing. I think that his costume personified the whole "beacon of hope" thing he used to have going for him. A near-perfect man dealing with the problems of an imperfect world, and the effect that it was having on him. This design takes away from that and makes him more like his imperfect clone, who himself was trying to live up to the standard that Superman had set in most of his incarnations (especially the Young Justice animated adaptation).

Supes outfit looks fine. Just wish he had blue jeans on. Hope they don't change his personality though. I'm sick of looking at all of the twilight moody characters to be honest. Wonder woman on the other hand looks like she's joining the American gladiators.

Oh look Conner Kent has grown up... Wait that Clark, say what. Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster are so rolling in there graves, serious every sense Jim Lee rune DC with the New 52 idea, they took everything from what those two great man design, first it was the remove of the red trunks, change the yellow S symbol on his cape to black, gave him armor over the top that his power were now over the top crazy level now, got rid of the s shape in his hair, now they took the hole tights away including the icon cape. Serious everybody in the 90's got piss because when he came back he had long hair, then he cut it just to get new energy powers, you know what I take any of that over this because this is an insult, if you want to give Supes a different outfit, just give back his Godfall suit, at least it was more like supes then this, I serious about this.

Specelation: superman reveals his identity, has no need to wear a costume, someone close to him dies that is why he is angry or Diana breaks up with him for revealing her identity as well or for just revealing his own, he joins the army so he has to get an army cut, he copyrights the logo and places it on all his shirts so people know it is him. DONE

I prefer this to the armored nonsense. Of course it's temporary and hopefully a prelude to something better, like Superman Beyond's capeless outfit.

I'm wondering how he can pull off his Clark Kent "disguise" with a crew cut? I'm pretty sure just wearing some glasses isn't going to cut it any more.

Also how will he get through an epic superhero smackdown with his uniform intact? Unless he just found a secret box of Kryptonian casualwear in his rocket...

And since when the S curl was always used? Dean Cain never had it. Nor does Henry Cavill. His hair is like this in BM v SM.

Greg Pak's Action comics is one of the best DC books at the moment. At worst it will be just a single read.

I have mixed feeling about this. Didn't Superman just get a newish costume in a recent issue of Superman? I don't hate the new look but I don't love it. If I were to use the comicvine stars to rate how I feel about it, it be a solid 3. I do like the haircut. I likee how the logo is Black and Red but I could do without the yellow outline on the logo. What's with the logo by Superman's foot in the first image?

Looks like Future's End Superman but was never a HUGE fan of the golden age "S" or that short hair.

Kind of reminds me of combination of Superboy from Young Justice, Future's End Superman and Smallville Superman.
