So in the finale, she fights a Superman who thinks he's fighting Zod, and he still gets his ass beat. HOORAY GRRL POWER!
It's Official! Supergirl is Stronger than Superman!
@quinlan58: Don't watch it till it's on Netflix, barely saw someone post a picture of it on FB. Besides, it's not like anyone else posted about it. If it we're me, I would have saved the Evil Superman storyline for the crossover and had that be the reasons Supergirl needs their help. SM and MM (and others) have all been mind controlled and she needs their help.
Nah, next crossover should be some sort of introduction for Green Lantern (let me hope). I'd have simply made it so that the Silver Kryptonite made Supes go into Berserker Rage, have Kara having to do her absolute best to even survive throughout the fight, have the DEO use regular kryptonite to weaken Superman (at huge risk to themselves) and finally have Supergirl taking advantage of the momentary distraction to knock him out... before passing out herself.
The show is called "Supergirl." I'm fine with this.
Sure, but it's no excuse for lazy writing. The first season final was also pretty lazy, they did a hope speech that cured everyone off screen.
@saintwildcard: not lazy
This was made deliberately so they could raise Supergirl up and knock Superman down
The writers must've gotten afraid at the overwhelmingly positive reaction Tyler got at the Season premieres.
@quinlan58: lol, it's not even supposed to be Superman
I'll fix it
@druzzie: lol
Read the actual comic.
I'm tired of people like you spreading misinformation
It's her show, besides they already had her beat a villain superman admitted he never managed to defeat early on in the season.
It's Supergirl, dude.
That show is the proverbial garbage dump of all the live-action DC shows. Only Gotham comes close to its level of sheer stupidity.
Also, Superman getting s**t on and kicked around by everyone is a time-honored tradition at this point. Though I do hope someday they'll break this dumb trope.
The most ridiculous thing about it was that they didn't go with the easy solution of saying Superman was weakened from Kryptonite exposure thus justifying why she beat him. Nooo it has to be the cringy female empowerment trope that girls can beat boys too.
You are like... 16 years too late. It was stated as much in the Superman/Batman Comic when Supergirl first showed up again.
2 things though. Firstly, the comics and the CW verse are entirely separate and have no bearing on each other. Secondly, it was later confirmed that Superman held back quite a lot, while Kara who was still getting accustomed to her powers, did not. He is way stronger than her by feats.
Did James Tynion write the script?
Oh well this is the same show that turned Cyborg Superman in to Martian Manhunter and then in to just a Cyborg and Jimmy in to a stud called Guardian.
DC show are honestly dumpster fire, surprisingly it was Arrow that was decent this season.
@brucerogers: it wasn't even confirmed in the first place
Bruce claimed that Kara was stronger as a theory, one of many.
That's it. Everything else was just setting the tone.
People read one scan and they think they read the entire comic
@jogga: Pretty much.
The show is called "Supergirl." I'm fine with this.

I've literally watched one episode LOL. I was actually thinking about watching it, but i'll heed your warning.
That was pretty cringe worthy. Still, not as annoying as people always talking about how strong J'onn is and then have him be the biggest jobber on the show. How can he whoop Supergirl's a$$ when she's gone mad because of red kryptonite on about 30 seconds yet constantly lose to people she beats? And how come he's supposedly been ostensibly a soldier or peace keeper or whatever for hundreds of years and Kara has better martial arts feats than him after a few months of training? I guess it's the "years of actual military training is nothing to super hero training" bull$h!t they used to give Thea all these hand to hand combat feats and still let Diggle job like it's a contractual obligation.
@saintwildcard: Thankfully this nonsense hasn't been displayed in the main continuity. In fact in main continuity it is the opposite; Superman is a lot more powerful than Supergirl.
It's cw nobody really cares....but it's also her show so she has to win
@ganon15: eh good point there
.

First off it's not "Official" CW is not canon only the comics are and Secondly the show is Called Supergirl so obviously they will make him weaker than her.
The Show is called Supergirl....of course they're going to let her win.
There is winning in a good way and there is winning in a bad way. People are complaining because they see her winning in a bad way.
Superman should be her superior regardless it's her show or not. They could easily have done her winning in such a way that it doesn't tear him down just to prop her up. All it takes is a writer who's not a cheap wanker.
Now I haven't watched the episode yet so I can't say she won in a bad way but from what I'm hearing it's not looking good.
